Man, was he fucked, not just literally either. It wouldn’t be long before he was standing outside of a waiting room holding a purse. No, wait, this was Tyler, he would be standing in a welding supply store while she tried on new hats to go under her helmet.Damn, this woman was hot.

“What are you giggling at?”

“Men don’t giggle.”

“Fine, what were you chortling at?”

“That’s not much better,” he said, rolling onto his side so he could see her.“I was thinking I hate to fuck and run but we could both use some sleep.”Giving her a brief kiss, he pushed off the bed, hunting for his clothes.

“You’re not going to stay for round two?”she asked.

“Round two?I’m almost forty.Sorry, but I’m no race car, ma’am.”Sliding his pants on he turned to smile at her as he buttoned them.

“No, I think you’re more of a monster truck.”

“That, I’ll take.”Walking around the bed, he tossed her the pajamas on her nightstand, leaning down to kiss her goodbye.

“You’re right, I’m going to get enough flak about this tomorrow anyway. You’re a loud lover.”

“Hey, I’m not the one screaming ‘harder, Dex.’I think I blew out a hip.”She grinned, rolling over in the bed so he couldn’t see how red she was.He hated to tell her the back of her neck turned red too.“Do you want me to take your keys to lock up so you don’t have to get out of bed?”

“That would be nice of you.Pick me up in the morning? With breakfast?”He rolled his eyes as he tied his shoes.

With one last kiss, he quietly snuck out of the apartment, locking it behind him.Yeah, he could get used to this.Even better, he could get used to staying.

Tyler heard a soft knock on her apartment door the next morning before the sound of a key being inserted in the lock drew her attention.Quietly slipping inside, Dex held up a bag of something and a cup of coffee at her.Taking the coffee from him gratefully, she took a careful sip.Setting it on the coffee table in front of her, she bent over to finish tying her boots.

“I brought Greer some breakfast for when she wakes up,” he said quietly.“It seemed only right after having to spend her day with Knox. She should really receive hazard pay.”

Setting another bag on the kitchen table, he crossed to the couch as Tyler stood.Wrapping a hand around the back of her neck, he pulled her against him, greeting her with a morning kiss. When he ended it before Tyler was ready, she grabbed the front of his shirt, pulling him back to her as she leaned in for round two.

“Good morning,” she said with a smile.

“Good morning,” Dex answered with a return smile.“Pig?”he asked, holding up the bag in his hand.

“That might be the least sexy thing ever said to me the morning after.”

He laughed softly, handing her one of the pigs in a blanket he had picked up at the local donut shop.

“I think that only counts if I stay the entire night instead of sneaking out like your dad might catch us.”Dex fished one of the twists out of the bag to take a big bite.

“Speaking from experience?”Tyler asked, holding her hand out for another pig.

“God, no,” Dex answered with a snort.

“High school Dexter never had to shimmy out a window mid-frolic?”

“High school Dexter was too busy trying to get into college to frolic.College Dexter was only slightly better.Nope, you are definitely the hottest frolic I have ever participated in.The only one I’d crawl out a window for.”

“Well, grown-ass Agent Dexter knows all the right words this morning.Come on, we had better head to work.”

Tyler led Dex down the stairs to his borrowed car, settling in the passenger seat when he had unlocked the doors.“Have you got the laptop?”

“It’s right here, ready to go,” he said, patting a worn-looking bag sitting on the back seat. They discussed their plan to attempt to hack into the server for the Houston Port Authority in detail.

The welding truck was already loaded with their supplies when they arrived at her shop. After transferring the bag, they set off to pick up the new iron rails they would need to replace the old ones with. When they had been loaded on their trailer, Tyler drove to the port.

“Okay,” she said, pulling up outside the shipping office.“I’ll stall as long as I can while you try to hack in.Don’t get caught with the laptop, I’m not sure we’re allowed to have one in here.”
