And she does.

I’m not too proud to admit that I end up begging. She’s the only person on the planet who could get me to do it, but I would do anything for her.

By the time we get back to the Jeep, we’re both worn out and in need of a bath. I send a quick text to Niki to let him know he can turn everything back on again, and then I drive us home to where a very excited Doberman is waiting for us.

Despite the work stress of spoiled frat fucks selling drugs and a sneaky bastard who’s encroaching on our territory, I’m happier than I’ve ever been, and it has everything to do with the beautiful redhead sitting next to me.

I’m learning that work will always be there. There will always be problems that need to be dealt with, and usually I’d be working nonstop to end them, but Cyn has me craving something more. She makes me want balance in my life, something I would’ve scoffed at before I met her. I was convinced that all I needed was a knife in my hand and the freedom to use it, but I’d been wrong. I knew that the second I’d pressed my lips to her blood-splattered skin.

Life isn’t just about killing. My little Cyn taught me that.

Later on when we’re both cleaned and I’ve dirtied her up again, she snuggles up against me and kisses my chest before laying her head down to sleep.

“I want you to meet my family tomorrow. We can go to my parents’ after you’re done with classes. I should warn you that they’re all going to want to be there to meet you.”

“When you say all of them,” she asks, pausing for me to give her a number that she hopes is small.

When I start naming off names, she groans before I’ve even hit the twentieth. I kiss her head and say, “There will be two less people since my cousin Max and his wife Talia are in Oregon while they wait for her to go into labor, but my cousins Val and Yel just had a baby, so that’s one more person, plus everyone else’s kids.”

“Your cousins had a baby?”

I laugh at the cautious tone of her voice. “Don’t worry. Not related by blood, remember? My dad and uncles are brothers by choice. All except for my Uncle Roman and Aunt Alina. Thankfully, their kids did not fall in love.”

She gives a sigh of relief while I stroke her hair. “My little sister is dying to meet you.”

“I hope they like me.”

“They’ll love you. They already do. I showed them the photo you sent me of you and Chort.”

She groans. “The one where I’m not wearing any makeup and still look like I’m recovering from losing my virginity?”

The corner of my mouth lifts up even more. “The one and the same, krovinka.”

“Well, at least I can’t make a worse first impression. Anything is going to be a step up from that photo.”

I lightly smack her ass and then give it a squeeze. “You’re beautiful, Cyn, so fucking gorgeous.”

“Ah, there’s my sweet serial killer,” she teases, giving the crook of my neck a kiss while I laugh and smack her ass again.

“I don’t fit all the criteria, just so you know.”

I feel the breath of her laugh hit my neck before she settles back in again.

“It’s probably not a good sign that you find that funny,” I tell her.

She huffs out a breath. “You’ve thoroughly corrupted me, Sasha.”

Grinning, I think of the ass that’s remained unclaimed. Squeezing her cheek, I say, “Not yet, I haven’t.”

She tenses at my words, so I caress my fingers over her skin and say, “Get some sleep, krovinka.”

“It’s hard to now that I’m worried about my ass.”

“Your ass is safe with me. I’d never hurt you.”

“My pussy begs to differ.”

I laugh before I can stop it. “It’s a good pain, though, right?”
