She smiled and nodded. “Aren’t you the prepared little boy scout,” she teased. “First we have to let the dive group I came with know I didn’t drown.”

She jumped up and grabbed the radio mic, calling over to advise she wouldn’t be going back with them and would pick up her gear bag later.

The engine roared to life and he had the boat en route to the private lagoon. She gazed across the waves, a smile on her face. If he had his way, they’d skip lunch and feed off each other. She turned to look at him, her expression unreadable. It was probably the first time he’d not been able to tell what a womanwas thinking. This alone intrigued him more than anything else. She was mysterious. Deep as the ocean and he wanted to discover all her secrets. He cut the engines and they floated in the empty lagoon ringed by palms trees. It was paradise, but his paradise was going to be with her. In her.

They didn’t talk. There seemed to be no need and when she stood and came to him, her fingers playing with the tab of the zipper before she finally pulled it down. He was ready for her.

Daisy tipped her head and smiled, reaching up to push the wetsuit off her shoulders. She began a little striptease for him, and he smiled, standing like a lovestruck teenager with a raging hard on while she tempted him.

She stepped out of the suit. She was absolute perfection. The pink and white striped bikini enhanced her tan and he suspected she tanned in the nude. But he’d like to find out for himself. They walked toward each other and she stepped into his arms.

“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate.” She murmured, her voice husky, deep and holding promises he was going to make her keep.

“Me either.”

He ran his hand up her back, over her smooth skin and into her still wet hair, holding her prisoner as he crashed his mouth onto hers. She met him with ferocity. Her breathing was labored and needy. Cork pressed his tongue into her mouth, finding hers, and it was electric. Sealed to each other, they melded into one, until her legs gave away and she sank. He held her, gently lowering her to the teak floor, glad of the sunshade over the cockpit.

She moaned into him. Her sound ignited a fire that he’d never felt before and he was astounded, confused, driven, and all he wanted was to claim her. He pulled his mouth away and found her neck, moving lower. Taking her tits in his hand, through the fabric, he rubbed her engorged nipples; she archedher back. Her fingers thrust into his hair, and she clutched him with pain that bordered on pleasure.

Daisy quivered beneath him as he explored her. Her warm, tanned skin was tart with dried sea salt. Cork pressed his face to her belly, inhaling her scent. She smelled of the sea, coconut lotion, and a tinge of neoprene from the wetsuit which lay in a heap under her. Best of all, she smelled like sex, and it drove him crazy.

He kissed and licked his way down her firm torso, lingering at her belly button, and sucked on the jeweled piercing until he heard her sharp intake of breath. He smiled and slid slower kissing her soft flesh.

Cork pushed her bikini bottom aside and pressed his lips to the crease of her thigh. She moaned and lifted her hips. He felt like he was drowning in her so deeply he never wanted to surface.

His mouth was slick on me just as wet as the ocean had made us. His tongue was magic, and I lost myself in ecstasy. But this wasn’t right. This couldn’t happen now; the timing was all wrong. I gripped his hair, wet and slick in my fingers.

My hips had a mind of their own—they took over the motions of my body. Pulsing and thrusting against him. His hands gripped my ass cheeks, the combination of his grip and his mouth, not to mention the fact we were out in the open, the boat rocking on the waves under the blistering sun for all the world to see made it even more exciting.

I tried to push him away. But it felt so damn good. Instead, I pulled him closer. I couldn’t catch my breath and before I knew it, my orgasm rushed over me and everything splintered apart. It was furious and body wrenching, and oh so glorious.

I lay there in silence, trying to catch my breath and wondering how this all just transpired. How could I have let this happen? I was mortified, and short of jumping in the water, there was no other way to escape this situation.

The dive boat was long gone. That meant I was stranded. Here. With Cork. I had to find a way to face him and maintain my already tattered dignity. So I reminded myself the reason I was here and sat up. I reached for the mesh bag, filled with the coins I had just found.

“Where is it?” My voice croaked, and I cleared my throat.

“What?” He sat on the teak floor and leaned against a seat. He reached for me and I had to admit, he was enticingly sexy, sprawled on the deck, hair wet and wild, tanned body glistening in the sun. It took every ounce of self control I had to avoid his gaze. Because if I looked at him, I might just fall back on top of him to reciprocate the pleasure he’d just given me.

I stood and fixed my bathing suit, highly self-conscious about our intimate moment.

“The coins, what did we do with them?” I lifted the wetsuits and shook them out. I didn’t want to overreact, but there was no way I was going to let those treasures out of my sight. Under the pile was the net bag holding the cache, and I sighed.

“Right there. Where did you think they would be?” Cork answered, and I heard a tightness in his voice. He rose with ease and picked up the bag.

“Good. I don’t know, maybe in the heat of the moment they fell overboard or who knows.” I sat down on a cushion under the sunshade wanting to kick myself for mentioning the heated moment.

Then I wondered. “How did you know I was diving out here?” I narrowed my eyes and watched him. “Were you following me?”

He opened the cooler and pulled out a couple of beers, handing me one. I was thirsty and took it, nodding my thanks.

“No, I wasn’t following you. I did want to do some diving?—”

“On your own? That’s not smart.” I took a very welcome long drink from the can.

“Says the girl who was doing just that,” he mused and smiled.
