ChapterFour

His beast was throwing a fit.It was ready to find their mates and so far, he’d had no luck. He’d started going to each dragon territory looking for his mates. For centuries, Nitheo Caine had searched for them, and he’d be damned if he’d go home with no one. The dragon curse would not lay a hand on him. He’d find his mates if it was the last thing he did, and that’s why he’d traveled around theworld.

And now he was in East Grove. He ran his hand along his thick beard as he thought about finding his mates. Today, he would go through the town. It was well known that East Grove was rich in dragonshifters.

“Here’s your beer,” a small voice said. He glanced over and caught the eye of hiswaitress.

“Thanks.” His gruff voice made him wince. He grabbed his mug of beer and took his first sip. Sitting back against his booth, he looked out into the crowded bar. From his booth in the back, he could take in the full bar without anyproblems.

The air practically vibrated with the powers that were in the room. It was a shifter bar, and there were many different types of shifters in the establishment, but no one was as powerfulashim.

A dragonshifter.

His eyes roamed the bar, finding people gathered around the few pool tables. Some were perched at the bar, while others danced on the makeshift dance floor as music filled the air. He figured he’d grab some food and a few beers before heading back to hishotelroom.

Ever since arriving in East Grove, he’d felt his dragon becomerestless.

His mates had tobenear.

His dragon hadn’t been this restless in any of the other territories. His dragon usually got bored or drew silent, knowing they were hunting for the two people who would completehissoul.

“You looking for a date tonight, honey?” a husky voice asked. His eyes moved to a woman who stood by his table and connected with hers. He dismissed her with his eyes as he turned awayfromher.

“No. Just looking for a good beer and food. That’s it.” Nitheo had never needed to pay to dive between any woman’s thighs and he wasn’t starting tonight. By the looks of her, she had already been riddentoday.

He wasn’tinterested.

The only woman he desired today was his mate, or mates. His cock hardened at the thought of being with them. Soon. He felt it deep within hisbones.

His dragon snorted at the sight of the woman. It certainly was not interestedinher.

“Well, if you change your mind, just call out my name, Chasity,” she chuckled as she walked away. He rolled his eyes at the irony ofhername.

Nitheo believed that she thought her hips swaying was supposed to be sexy, but it was an epic fail. He shook his head as he picked up his mug and took a long pull fromhisbeer.

“Here’s your meal,” the waitress announced, arriving with his food. She placed his plate in front of him and his stomach chose that moment to rumble. “Looks like I’m right on time,” shechuckled.

“Yes. Thanks.” He nodded his head to her, his eyes falling back to his plate as she scurried away. A large triple cheeseburger, monster fries, and she even dropped off another beer. She’d earned a hefty tiptonight.

He was a large man and needed a meal that would fill him. He reached for his burger, but his dragon stood at attention. It pushed at his chest with it’s claws, frantically trying to break free, and almost made him drop his sandwich. He dropped it to his plate as he lookedaround.

“What the—” His words caught in his throat as a beautiful scent floated in the air toward him. He breathed in the scent and his dragon let loose a roar in hischest.

Mate.

He breathed in again and scented a second beautifulsmell.

Twomates.

Theywerehere.

Together.

He stood to his full height, searching the crowd through the low light. His eyes easily adjusted as he searched the crowd. The scents were feminine, and his cock pushed at his jeans at the thought of both his mates being female. Triads with two females were rare. The normal was two males and one female, and Nitheo knew nothing about his life was evernormal.
