“No matter how many times we come here, it just takes my breath away,” Damara admitted.

She took in the rolling hills surrounding them. The sun had just disappeared beneath the horizon.

A chill slid down her spine, and it wasn’t from the gentle breeze.

It was from the heated gaze that was on her. Without turning around, she knew Gavin was staring at her. She could feel his stare down to her bones.

Tonight they would officially mate in the one place that would be perfect.

Their favorite spot.

A warm figure pressed against her back and wrapped her up in his tight embrace.

Gavin.

This was the location of their first date.

The location of the first time they’d made love.

It only made sense that it would be the location where they joined together as mates and sealed themselves to each other.

“No matter how many times I look at you, you still take my breath away,” his deep voice rumbled.

She smiled and leaned back into him.

“Alpha, you just know the right things to say.” She giggled. She could feel his beast draw closer to the surface. Hers demanded to meet his.

Soon,she whispered.

Damara couldn’t be any happier at the moment. After returning home, she felt free. Her memories had resurfaced, and she was more in love with Gavin than ever. She turned around in his arms and reached up, entwining her fingers at the base of his neck.

“I love you, Damara Jackson.” His brown eyes darkened.

She met his heated gaze, his hardness straining against her belly. Her heart raced in anticipation of what was to come.

“I love you, Gavin Greene,” she responded.

His head dipped down to allow him to press his mouth to hers. A moan was ripped from her. His tongue slid in between her lips and gained entrance to her mouth. His hands slid down along the curve of her spine and rested on her ass. She leaned against him, needing to be closer to him.

She gasped at the sound of her dress being ripped to shreds.

“Hey!” she protested. “I loved that dress!”

“I’ll buy you another one,” he muttered.

His hooded gaze met hers, and what breath was left in her lungs escaped her.

The torn dress was forgotten, floating down to the ground.

Her animal surged forward in her chest.Claim him.

Her body quivered as he removed her undergarments. She temporarily brandished her claws, and returned the favor on his shirt. The soft cotton joined her growing pile. They quickly stripped his jeans off, removing the last of his clothing.

“I can’t wait any longer.” Gavin’s voice dropped to a low growl. He reached down and gripped her behind her thighs.

Damara’s legs automatically wrapped themselves around his waist. He swiftly carried her over to their picnic blanket that was laid out on the ground in the exact same spot they’d first made love. He gently placed her on the soft cotton material.

Her legs instantly fell open to allow Gavin to settle within the valley of her thighs. They both released a groan when his hard length brushed her slick core.
