“Thank you, Mistress. Yes, it’s a new design of mine.” She smiled and folded her hands in front of her. Maybe she wasn’t here because of a complaint or issue.
“I’m sure you’re wondering why I have summoned you.” Mistress stood and strolled around her massive desk. Her dress trailed behind her with a soft rustling on the floor. She sat on the edge of the desk.
“Yes, Mistress. Have I done something wrong?” Tomesha boldly asked.
Romana smirked and cocked her head. “You’re not here for any wrongdoings. Quite the opposite. I’ve called you down here because we’re going to have a very distinguished guest that I would like you to entertain tonight.”
Tomesha’s eyebrows rose at this announcement. Excitement filled her. This was completely opposite of what she thought she was being summoned for.
She was being chosen for an honored guest. That was a compliment from Mistress.
“Thank you, Mistress.” Tomesha stood taller and continued to listen.
“There is no need to thank me. I have been monitoring you, and you have quite the following. I can’t tell you how many requests I have received from vampires clamoring to be the first to drink from you.” She pushed off the desk and came to stand in front of Tomesha. She tilted Tomesha’s chin back and stared down into her eyes. “But no amount of money was good enough. I was saving the first taste of your blood for a high-profile guest, and she should be arriving any minute now.”
Tomesha blinked. Today would be the day she’d have her first bite. Her heart pounded against her chest wall. The rapid succession caused her to have to take a deep breath. Romana stepped away from her and reached for the crystal decanter and goblet that sat upon her desk. She poured herself a drink. The familiar copper scent reached Tomesha. She turned and took a small sip and eyed Tomesha.
“May I ask who this esteemed guest is?” Tomesha breathed.
“But of course you may.” Ramona smiled, revealing her fangs. “Tonight, my dear, you’ll be entertaining a general. She’s the right hand of our warden and commander, Princess Lethia Riskel. General Dru Moldark should be arriving any minute. You’re not to take any customers tonight. You’ll be the general’s for as long as she wants you.”
“Yes, Mistress.”
A general? The second hand to the princess? Tomesha blinked, unable to believe what she was hearing. She took a step back. She’d never even been in the presence of royalty or someone that close to the royal family.
“Now run along so you can be ready to greet our guest. We want to ensure that she enjoys her time while here in Butterbush.” Mistress downed the rest of her blood and set the empty goblet on the desk.
“Yes, Mistress. I promise she won’t be disappointed.” Tomesha bowed her head and backed away from Romana. She spun on her heels and rushed toward the double doors.
“I have confidence she won’t be able to get enough of you.”
“Where have you been? Started entertaining early tonight?” Ada asked.
Tomesha stepped behind the counter and moved over to her. She wasn’t sure what to think after her meeting with Mistress. She bit her lip and glanced around the club. It looked like any other normal night. It was full of vampires coming for whatever they may desire.
Feeding or fucking.
Hell, some may even be here to just socialize. Have a goblet or two of their favorite blood while holding conversations as if the table next to them didn’t have a pair or a throuple participating in sexual acts.
Yes, just a normal night.
But tonight was the night she’d have her first bite. Her heart rate spiked at the thought. How would she react? Would it be pleasurable? Painful? She shook her head. From what some of the other donors had shared with her, they had climaxed harder than they ever had before. She was curious by nature and had asked others about it. They were open with her since everyone knew Mistress was saving her for a special person.
“I was with Mistress,” Tomesha whispered.
Ada leaned closer to her with wide eyes. “You in trouble or something? Whose ass do I have to kick?” She spun around, seeking out an imaginary threat.
Tomesha grabbed her arm and brought her back around. Ada may be the blood bartender, but she looked out for the human servers. She also ensured security was called when she sensed something wasn’t right.
“No, I’m not in any trouble.” Tomesha chuckled.
Ada had a bloodthirsty look to her, and it wasn’t for the need to drink blood but spill it. She relaxed a little.
“Then why did you have to go see her?”
“Tonight’s the night,” Tomesha breathed.
Ada’s eyes widened. There was no need to explain what she meant.
