“The club’s just opened,” Daddy pointed out. “Why don’t you come to my lap and tell me what you have planned?”

“It’s not a surprise if I tell you.”

Besides, he felt a bit self-conscious about this part of the plan. The food had gone great and he was proud of it, but this was just a night out at Daddy’s favorite club with his friends. Nathan had just thought they’d have fun and dance and then head home—maybe after a quick stop in one of the stalls.

Daddy had looked horrified the first time Nathan had talked him into it. It had been hilarious and only encouraged him to try to lure him into doing it every time they were there. He was even tipping the place more for the inconvenience.

It took him a few hours longer than he’d wanted to get Daddy to walk him to the bathroom.

“I’m not getting in there with you, brat.”

“But Daddy–!” Did he shriek too loud? Nathan didn’t care. “I need you so badly, Daddy.”

Daddy only raised an eyebrow. He looked so unimpressed, even with that smirk never leaving his lips. “There’s this thing called saying goodbye and driving home.”

“No, but it’s not the same, and that would takesolong. I invited so many people, they’re all going to want a hug or a slap on the back or something, and Ineedyounow.”

“I see,” Daddy hummed while he ran a hand over Nathan’s girth. “The thing is, this time, I have plans for you back home.”

“W-what?” Nathan took a step back. “Daddy! Today I was the one making big plans! That’s not fair. You’re just saying that to one-up me.”

“Easy,” Daddy warned, fixing him with that stern look of his that made Nathan want to swallow his tongue. “I thought you were a good boy tonight.”

“Don’t feel very good right now,” he mumbled.

Daddy never made him feel ashamed of his tantrums, though. Not in a bad way, anyway.

“Everything you’ve done today has been incredibly touching, brat.” The soothing voice was helping more than it should, too. “I’ve loved every second of it, and you’ve made me so proud. You were so thoughtful, weren’t you?”

“I wanted to do good.”

“You did so good,” Daddy almost purred, tugging at his suspenders until Nathan was flush against him. “Daddy didn’t know you’d planned an entire day for him, though, and he wanted to surprise you, too, after the first day you were alone at the house for so many hours.”

Nathan swallowed. Why did emotions get the best of him every time?

“It wasn’t that long,” he whispered. “And I had Plum.”

“I know you did.” Nathan felt Daddy shake his head fondly before kissing his temple. “So are you going to be good for a little bit longer, let me drive you home?”

“I guess.”

Two minutes later, though, as they made their way to Ken’s car, Nathan was brimming with excitement. What surprise could Daddy be possibly talking about?

The answer wasn’t any less clear when they made it home, and Daddy just walked casually to the closet in their room where they stored all the gear and toys.

Nathan rummaged through there nearly every day and he hadn’t seen anything amiss.

“Remember our twenty questions game?” Ken quirked an eyebrow as he turned to look at him.

Nathan frowned. He did, of course.

“Duh.”

“Brat.” Ken chuckled. “Good thing I love you.”

“Aw, I love you too, Daddy,” he cooed.

He couldn’t just let him think he could get out with anything.
