“Da-da tttoooppp!” she screeched.

Every time I heard her call me daddy it felt like my heart skipped a beat. This little girl snatched my heart out of my chest the first time I laid eyes on her. Her and her mama.

“Okay, okay. Were you a good girl for Ma Cheryl today?” Nodding her head, I kissed her chubby cheek, “That’s my girl.” Putting her back in the chair, I addressed her mother again.

“Aye, let me take a shower right quick I wanna run something by you.”

With that I headed upstairs to wash the day off. I just hoped that she ain’t blow up on a nigga after I dropped this news on her. It was happening whether she wanted it to or not, I’d just rather not beef with her about it.

Tio had cooked her homemade lasagna today and a nigga was happy about it. Sometimes she be making me eat like a bird, talking about a cleanse of the system. I’m a grown ass man, the fuck I look like drinking a smoothie for dinner?

“Aye, Baby, when we finding out what we having?”

Looking up from her food with raised brows, she said, “I thought you said you knew it was a boy.”

Chuckling lowly, I responded, “I do, just answer the question man.”

Rolling her eyes, she replied, “We go Thursday.” Perfect timing, I could go to Mexico on Friday and get this shit outta the way.

“I gotta fly out to Mexico on Friday, prolly come back Wednesday.”

This time she completely stopped and glared at me. “You mean we're going to Mexico, right?”

Sucking my teeth, “It’s business baby, I’m not going for entertainment.”

She fired right back, “Business lasts five days straight?”

Sighing, I ran my hand down my face. Truthfully, I didn't know what we were going to be doing so I didn't know the answer to that.

“I really don't know babe, it’s cool though. If it’s going to avoid an argument between us, you and Rae can come. But I’m telling you now if I’m gone a good bit of the time, I don't want to hear your mouth about the shit.”

Nodding her head, she replied, “I pinky promise, Baby.”

That was all she needed to hear. She got up to clear the table and jumped straight on the phone with LeStar and Chy.

Friday came fast and you’d think Tiomi would be happy to be going on vacation, but she was walking around here pouting. She been like this since we left the doctor’s office yesterday.

“Baby, I know you not still in your feelings.”

She gave me the finger and kept throwing shit into Rae’s bag. Honestly, I thought she’d be happy we were having another girl, but she obviously wanted a boy more than me. Grabbing her arm and pulling her towards me so I could wrap her in my arms, I said, “You know we have forever to have a son, right, Baby?”

This crazy ass girl looked up at me with real tears in her eyes.

“I don't want to keep having kids Jawan,” she whined. “And I don't want you to go out here and have a son with anybody else.”

By now she was full blown sobbing. I Looked at her crazy ass like she had sprouted two heads.

“Baby shut the fuck up aight? You know ain't nobody cheating on your crazy ass and having kids with another bitch. You gone be my wife. The only woman to carry my kids, including my namesake. Okay?”

I held her face in both of my hands and looked into her eyes so she could see how serious I was. Calming down a little, she nodded her head.

“I don’t give a fuck if we have all girls, they all gone be by you. Don’t let me hear you tripping about that shit no more man.”

This girl needed to hurry up and have this baby before she drives me fuckin’ crazy. Shit if I’m being honest Jarae and Jalae might be it for us. I can't do this shit here again, as bad as I want a son, this shit gone take me out. It seems like the further along she gets in this pregnancy, she gets more insecure.

“Now finish packing, so we can bounce with your fine ass.” I slapped her on the ass when she walked away, I was ready to get the fuck up outta here.

The flight to Mexico wasn’t bad. Rae was kind of cranky, but once we got her to sleep shit was smooth sailing. Oh, and a nigga became a member of the miles high club. Just thinking about how Tio handled a nigga up there had me bricking up. Glancing at her, she was in complete awe looking out the window at the scenery. Her parents took her around the world as a child, but she said she’s never been here, so I’m happy that we’re creating this memory together.
