“What did you even buy me a car for if I can’t ever drive it Jawan?” I complained.

Ever since the last time he went to Mexico, he's been overbearing. He’s been overprotective from the beginning, but I had some freedom. Lately I can't even go to use the restroom without him breathing down my neck.

“Tiomi, just get you and the girls together, please, Baby. I got a lot of shit going on and It makes it a lot easier knowing that my family is safe.”

Rolling my eyes at his response, I said, “Fine.”

Granny did her thing with this brunch spread. You’d think that she was feeding the whole neighborhood with all of the food she has laid out on the table. Unbeknownst to me she had requested that we all sit down and eat as a unit, since everyone normallyhas their own things going on. She even talked Shad, who is the last one that we are waiting for, into coming through to join us.

He normally comes and spends time with Granny by himself because he typically is out hoeing when the rest of us meet up, but I’m glad my brother is coming over today. Now what I’m hoping for is that Tel can keep her emotions at bay when he comes. I don’t feel like refereeing the two of them the whole time I was here.

“Granny, when we eatin man damn, I’m hungry as fuck and I got stuff to do.”

“JJ you don't have one more time for me to tell you to stop cussing me before I beat your ass all over this kitchen. We’ll eat when I say we do.”

We all laughed when he sucked his teeth and mumbled under his breath at her reply, he knows when to stop trying her.

“Yo’ Granny G, your favorite is here!” Shad yelled when he finally came through the door. “I hope the food is done because a nigga is hungry as hell.”

He enclosed Granny in his arms and dropped a kiss on her temple. He did the same to me and Star, when he made his attempt with Shantel, she dodged him like the plague and dropped her eyes on the woman he brought with him.

“So, you ain’t gone say nothing to this nigga about cussing you, Granny?”

“JJ shut yo’ mouth sometimes. Shad who is this heffa you brought up in my house?”

That made me, Star, and Tel smirk. “Heffa? Shad what the hell you gone let this old ass lady disrespect me?”

“Aye bitch you need watch yo’ muhfuckin’ mouth when you talking to that one. That's if you wanna keep your life,” Jawan said.

She narrowed her eyes in his direction, “Is that a threat?”

“That’s whatever you want it to be, but you better show my granny some fuckin’ respect bitch. Shad who the fuck is this hoe man?”

He shrugged his shoulders, “I just met her last night. I told her ass to stay in the car while I handled my business.”

“Okay, we may have gotten off on the wrong foot, my name is Chanel, I’m Shad’s friend.” She extended a hand in Granny’s direction.

“You’re Shad’s fuck buddy. One of many, excuse my French Granny. Shannon is it? This is a family function, so you need to get the fuck out,” Shantel said.

“Bitch it’s Chanel, and don't worry about what I am to him.”

“Naw Shorty, you ain’t gone talk to that one like that, look maybe you need to go outside and get an Uber. I’m with my girl and my family,” Shad said.

We all looked at him sideways when he said that. These were two of the most confused people that I know. One of them was part time gay and the other is a part time hoe. Lord be with us. After ol’ girl realized that we weren’t joking she made her way out of the house and we enjoyed each other’s company.

Since it's the end of the month me and the girls came up to the shop so I could do the inventory and books for both Jawan’s legal and illegal business. Joe hadn’t got a chance to see the girls lately because he’s been sick with the flu. When Rae was here, she was the boss of the shop. Everything and Everybody stopped for her spoiled ass. The only person she didn’t fuck with was Nia and for good reason.

The bitch got a thing for my nigga and I came up here dressed down today for a reason. I was going to beat her ass to deathwhen she looked at my husband. She has been on chill because she sees that I’m not pregnant anymore with her little scary ass.

Now the books always looked good when I did them because Jawan trusts everyone that he has working for him. He hand-picked each individual person on both sides of the businesses, the shop and the street. Well, everyone except for that lil’ hoe.

For some reason I’m coming up short twenty thousand dollars for the shop's funds. At no point in time do we ever spend that much money on anything so I’m confused as to why we could be missing that much money. I made my way out to the shop’s floor so I could let my man know what was going on.

Lae was in the bassinet asleep, so she would be okay for a few minutes while I filled him in and Jarae was in Joe’s chair on her iPad. When I got out there some big, bulky man came into the shop and headed in Nia’s direction.

“Bitch you haven’t been seeing me calling you?”

“Brian, I’m working as you can see, what are you doing here?”
