“Aye, is that —”

I hopped out the car before he could even finish his statement. “Tiomi, what the fuck is you doing here?”

“No what are you doing here?” she folded her arms in front of her.

“I’m handling business. Who the fuck told you I was coming here and where are my kids?” I looked into the car to make sure she wasn’t THAT stupid.

“They’re where they are and it doesn’t matter who told me what, why are you here?”

I stepped so far into her personal space that our noses were touching. “Take yo’ looney ass home.”

“Not without you. You’ve been gone all night and I’m horny,” she whined.

“Baby, for real?” I asked and ran my hand down my face. “Look, let me kill these two muhfuckas then I promise to come home and punish that pussy, aight?”

“Promise?” she asked then bit her lip and lifted her pinky in my direction.

I grabbed her pinky with my own and promised her, then I dropped a kiss on her lips that got us a little carried away.

“Bro’, y’all muhfuckas can’t be serious right now. Grim bring yo’ muhfuckin’ ass on and Tio go home, bruh. Crazy muhfuckas aggravating as fuck.”

Tio and I smiled at each other after we broke the kiss. “I won’t even be an hour baby,” I said and gave her one final kiss before she got in the car and left.

“Y’all two dysfunctional muhfuckas ain’t right,” Shad said as we made our way up to Sierra’s apartment.

“Shut the fuck up nigga, let’s go.”

We made our way up the steps to her apartment door, and once again Shad wanted to pick the lock. This time that was the plan though, I wanted to catch the both of them by surprise. Once the door was opened, we silently made our way through the house. It was a light coming from under one of the doors and so I’m sure that’s the room that housed the two of them. I reached for the knob and slowly turned it. I wanted to mask our presence as long as possible. I eased the door all the way open and saw that the bedroom was empty, but the shower was running in her bathroom, so we made ourselves comfortable at the foot of her bed until they emerged. It was clear they were planning to leave because two suitcases were waiting by the door. While we waited, I looked around the room in pure disgust. There was empty food containers, dirty clothes, paper, and some more shit scattered everywhere.

Nasty bitch.

We waited for about ten more minutes before the shower turned off, signaling that they were done and about to join us in the room. The both of them were wrapped in towels when they finally showed face.

“Well, it’s about damn time. Fuck was y’all in there cleaning because both of y’all still look dingy as fuck,” Shad stated with his nose turned up.

“G-Grim?” Sierra stuttered.

“In the flesh baby,” I smiled. “Going somewhere?” I asked her, pointing towards the luggage with my gun.

She didn’t verbally respond, she just started to cry, so I turned my attention to RJ. “Bro’ you been one hard nigga to find. Why you go underground after your pops was killed? You missed the funeral and all.”

“You can save your mind games, Grim.”

“Mind games? I’m simply tryna figure out at what point in time that you made up in your mind that I was the nigga to play with.” I stood to my feet.

He scoffed. "Do you know how many chances I had to kill you?”

“One,” I answered. “And you blew it.”

I raised my gun and put a bullet through his head. Truly I had let him breathe and talk for too long. RJ knew the moment he shot me and didn’t kill me that he fucked up. Sierra was screaming and crying so Shad went ahead and silenced her, too. On the way out, I grabbed the duffle bag that held all the bread that Nia had been wiring to her nigga’s account like an idiot and he was withdrawing the shit and giving it to RJ. Muhfuckas were literally the dumbest criminals I had ever encountered. I was just gone take this lil’ bread and put it in my kids’ accounts. Hell, it's already been withdrawn from my shit, so it wasn’t accounted for anymore.

By the time we made it home, Tio and the girls were all cuddled in our bed asleep. She pulled up blowing up my spot about her being horny just to be slobbing and shit when I got here. All I could do was shake my head. I headed in the bathroom to shower so I could join my family. For the first time, a nigga was at peace and didn’t have shit to worry about.

EPILOGUE: FIVE MONTHS LATER

A nigga wasdeep in his sleep when I felt my body being shaken and Tiomi screaming my name. She was now eight months pregnant and we were expecting my son and daughter any day now. Just like I said at her first doctor’s appointment, I knew what the sexes were. My eyes popped open when she slapped the shit out of me and screamed my name again.

“Jawan Jones. Get your light skinned ass up right now.”
