She knew that she was getting on my damn nerves, and that’s why she started laughing,

“Speaking of niggas, yours just got here. He down in the basement with June, smoking,” she let me know.

“I saw that I have a message from him from two hours ago, telling me to call him. How long he been over there?” I asked her.

“You didn’t even deny that I just called him your nigga. What’s going on, Dionne? Spill the tea sister,” she begged, only for me to laugh.

I reached over, so that I could turn the lamp on that was on the end table next to the couch. It was too damn dark in here. Once the light was on, Free was able to see my face clearly. I paid attention to her background, and I could see that she was in the kitchen, moving around, standing by the stove, and she was mixing up whatever she had in the pot. I could hear Liberty in the back, and she was fussing.

“What’s wrong with Liberty? Why she fussing like that?” I asked, already going into that protective aunt role that I played with her.

“Girl, spoiled. A damn brat. June walks around here holding her every second of the day, and she thinks that I’m supposed to do the same. I’m cooking. I’m going to get her in a second,” she let me know, and right after, the knob on the front door started turning.

I took my eyes away from the screen, so that I could sit up, just to make sure that it was Blake coming in the house. It sure as hell was her, and when she walked in, her ass had a silk scarf tied around her head, that I’m sure she didn’t leave out of herewith, and she was in a gray, jogging set. I could tell by the way that she walked over to cut the light on, that her ass was turned every way but loose.

“Free, look at this,” I said to my sister, flipping the screen, putting it on Blake, as she slowly limped her way into the living room where I was. Blake laughed, and she flipped me off for calling her out.

“Ohhhhh, I know a bitch that just got fucked when I see one! You left my sister in the house to go get some dick?” Free asked Blake, and I was cracking up because Free really didn’t give a damn what she said out of her mouth. Blake flopped down on the couch next to me, and I still had the camera on her, so that Free could see her.

“Your sister was sleeping. We’re about to go out now,” Blake responded. It’s like the energy was taken away from her because saying those few little words that she said to Free looked like it was exhausting for her to do.

She leaned her head into the back of the couch, and she put a hand over her forehead, as if she was contemplating life.

“Well, what the fuck did you do?” I asked her, and my question made my sister laugh, and Blake only laughed a little bit.

“Dionne, I know that look all too well. Ya’ll not about to go nowhere. You might as well order you some food to the apartment. That’s the look of a woman that was just fucked senseless. When I get like that, you can stick a fork in me because I have nothing left to offer to the world. I love that for you, Blake,” Free was going on, and on. Blake couldn’t even say anything.

I talked with my sister for a little longer, and I told her that I was going to call her back.

“I need the tea. Give me a second. I’m about to use the bathroom right quick though,” I let her know, standing up from the couch, and I took my phone with me.

Like this man had a damn tracker on me, my phone started buzzing with a facetime call, and it was Tank calling. I’m not sure why, but a smile appeared on my face upon seeing his name on my screen. I didn’t answer it until I made my way into Blake’s room.

I almost broke my damn neck because the light was off in her bedroom, and I tripped over a boot. I moved around, searching for the light, and once I had it on, that’s when I was able to look down at the screen, see Tank, and from his surroundings, I could tell that he was standing outside. The way he had the phone propped, I could see what was behind him, which was my sister’s and June’s driveway, so I knew that he was still over there.

“That was your voice that I just heard on the phone with your sister?” he got right into action, and I laughed.

“Tank, you sound crazy. You sound like your obsessing over me,” I responded, walking into the bathroom, and I turned the light on.

“Sound? I thought my actions towards you showed that I was crazy already?” he asked me, and I propped the phone up on the counter, and I went through Blake’s top drawer, where I had placed one of my brushes, and my claw clips. I brushed my hair up, and I twirled it around, putting it in a claw clip. I did all of this with my eyes on him.

“I was on the phone with Free. I was sleep when she called me. I saw your missed call. I was going to call you back. That’s why I came in the bathroom,” I told him, being honest.

“Aight, shit. Tell a nigga something. What time you come back tomorrow? I want to get you from the airport,” I can’t lie, his question made me smile. I could hear the yearning in his voice that he had for me. I couldn’t tell him no.

“We’ll be back at noon. We flew private, so you have to get me from the Fort Lauderdale executive airport,” I told him, and he nodded.

“I don’t expect you to have flown any other way,” was his response.

“I fly commercial too though,” I let him know.

“I know, but with your taste, I expect you to have told me that you flew private. When I met you, you told me that you beg. How come you haven’t started begging for shit yet? Where the shit at that you want?” he asked me, and that question made me laugh.

“Tank, you don’t want me to start begging for shit. I get steep into them pockets. I don’t just ask for one Chanel. I beg for a few of them. The kind of money that I ask for, Zelle won’t approve the limit, so you’ll have to wire it to me. The day I start begging you for shit, you’ll probably stop liking me,” I let him know, and like I was talking out of the side of my neck, he looked at me like I was crazy.

“I told you that I’ll trick. Being a trick, you gotta know that it doesn’t come with a limit. Treat me good, make a nigga feel appreciated, and you’ll get whatever the fuck you want from me,” he responded.

“I hear you,” was all that I said in response to that.
