Casey rubbed her back gently. “Rory, sweetheart. Tell us your safe word.”

She sniffled, though spoke with no hesitation. “Flower.”

I spoke next. “Do you need to stop? We can end the night right here. Get you cleaned up and put to bed.”

Surprisingly, though, she shook her head before looking up at both of us. The tears on her face made her blue eyes shine like diamonds, and it was as beautiful as it was heartbreaking. “No. I need more. Please. Make me forget him. That was…so good. I need more of whatever that was. And what you said at the end—I loved it. I need more. These are good tears. I promise. I’m just feeling a lot of things right now, and it’s weird.”

I looked at Casey right as he looked at me. At that point in our relationship, we probably had a form of telepathic communication without even knowing.

He didn’t hesitate.

In mere seconds, his knife was raised and against our doe’s precious throat. My eyebrows raised underneath my mask as I noticed the sharp part of the blade was actually angled at her flesh. Granted, I knew Casey wouldn’t kill her—not even accidentally. We were trained to know exactly how to wield weapons. It was simply the choice itself.

Seems like my little boy had a knack for blood, after all.

Rory’s eyes went wide as she spoke. “Wh-what are you doing?”

Lowering my knee from the apex of her thighs, I tugged at her hair and chuckled mockingly. The action pressed her closer into Casey’s knife, and I could have sworn that I felt my cock twitch as I watched the pinprick of blood that began beading at her skin. “We gave you a chance to stop.”

Casey sing-songed back, “And you didn’t.”

I smirked. “You know what happens to sweet little prey who say they can handle themselves?”

Rory swallowed, and I bit back my groan as I watched the action force the blade into her skin just a little more. She didn’t even wince. “What?”

My voice was as dark as the night around us, and I took immense pleasure as I watched her face grow redder from the intensity that surrounded her. “They get chased. They get put in their place. And then they getfucked.”

My eyes moved to Casey as he lowered the knife and stepped around her. Without another word, he raised his mask, grabbing the front of my uniform with one hand and lifting my goggles with the other, and smashed his mouth to mine. I didn’t hesitate to kiss him back. A groan reverberated out of my throat at the feel of him on me, knowing she was watching.

It was over seconds later, and I smirked at him as he pulled away—nipping at his bottom lip possessively.

We turned both of our gazes back to the woman I already knew we would marry one day as we put our masks back in place. “Run, little doe. We’ll give you a head start.”

She blanched. “Both of you?”

I leaned forward, resting my hands on my knees and turning my head to the side. The gesture was nothing short of humiliating—as though I was talking to a child who was tooinnocent to understand demands. But the smile hidden behind my night vision gear was pure wolfish. “Both of us. Now. Fucking.Run.”

NINE

RORY

My stomach tighteneditself into a pure knot as I stared at the men in front of me. Aiden stayed crouched down in front of me, and a blush stained my cheeks at the realization that he was mocking me—yet, the ache between my thighs only intensified.

I moved my gaze to Casey next. He only stared down at me with a blank expression locked in place. Just like that, the absolute golden retriever of a man in front of me turned into the trained hunter that he was.

My hand went up to wrap around my throat. When I pulled it away and noticed the blood on my shaking hands—the conclusion struck me full force: I was nothing but prey to them at that moment.

Just like I wanted.

Just like Irequested.

The realization was the only thing I needed in order to give the men in front of me one last glance before I twisted away and sprinted in the opposite direction. My sneakers propelled me forward, and I whimpered as I felt branches swipe at my legs andankles in vicious lashes. I knew without a doubt in my mind that they were beyond scratched up, but I pushed forward regardless.

Not the first time you’ve done this,my subconscious whispered. It’ll just be the best time.

My breath came out in heavy pants as I ran deeper into the forest. I pushed myself harder than I ever had, forcing my legs to carry me as far as they possibly could.

But the farther I ran, though, the less light I had.
