He stares at me, and I stare back.

“Is this weird?” he asks, looking to be in no hurry to walk in. Instead, he leans against the wall and listens to my wife, his sister, as she is talking softly to his wife. Once in a while, a baby whimpering interrupts their conversation.

“It’s weird,” I agree. “But it could be weirder, right?”

“Definitely,” he snickers. “Who finds out they have a sibling when they’re in their thirties?”

I laugh quietly at his question. Who indeed?

“I just found out yesterday that Sully is my brother by blood,” I snort, then lean forward to rest my hands on my knees, in an effort to stay quiet.

Wyatt is not as quiet. “No fucking way,” he booms.

“Way,” I wheeze out when I am finally capable of forming words.

“Dude,” he laughs louder. “Between all that’s happening with Dylan, my paternity, us finding new siblings, now having to go blow some people up, we could have our own TV show.”

“We’d probably end up in prison for good though,” I point out. “I don’t think they allow you blowing up people for real when on a TV show.”

“Yeah, you’re right,” he nods, then starts wiping the tears of laughter from his eyes. “What a shame.”

“Legit,” I agree.”

“Wyatt?” A female’s voice interrupts us.

“Alison,” I take his wife in. She is holding the smallest baby I’ve ever seen. “Long time, no see. You have a baby now,” I point at the bundle in her arms. We didn’t get to talk at all when she was here before.

Alison Knight watches me with apprehension. She was not a fan of mine when we met for the first time. I was there to pick up Dylan and Ethan, take them back to Texas. And even though I was only following direct orders, and I didn’t have a choice in any of it, she took it very personally. Which is why, she is not impressed with me right now.

“I see you met my wife,” I wink at her when I notice Emily smiling nervously from inside the room.

“Yourwife?” Alison sounds appalled by the idea.

“I was about to mention that,” the wife in question mutters as she tries to squeeze herself through the space in between Alison and the door. I lift an arm up and she slides perfectly under, tucking herself against me.

I grin at Alison who is now rolling her eyes at me, but she’s smiling. Wyatt steps closer to her.

“Ethan sleeping?”

“Like a rock,” she confirms.

Emily’s hand is clenched on my shirt, to the point where I wonder if she is going to rip a hole in it.

“Well, babe,” I finally take it upon myself to make the introductions since nobody else does. “Are you ready to meet your brother?”

Not like she has a choice at this point, but I’m trying to be polite.

Hearingthat Wyatt Knight is once again in the same house as me is making my heart beat out of my chest. As soon as Puck is out of my bedroom at dad’s house, I jump out of bed and run to the bathroom.

I scrub at my face, wincing at how blotchy my skin looks all of a sudden. I brush my teeth a little harder than I should, but I can’t help it. It’s like my hand has a life of its own.

When I rush to my closet, I just stare for a few long seconds. What should I wear? Puck teasing me about this pops into my head, and I grin. I doubt that Wyatt would care what I wore when we met for the very first time.

I end up settling on a pair of black leggings and a skin tight long tank top that makes my belly look bigger than it did before I went to bed tonight. I slip on a long cardigan over it, feeling safer in it.
