Getting to know Evie has been an experience I want to keep engraved in my head for the rest of my life. I’ve never looked for a serious relationship. I’ve enjoyed the perks of being in a relationship, but I can’t say that I ever put the effort in to see a future with the person I was with. It was more of a look into the near future type of thing.
The need to hold Evie right now is overwhelming.
“I need to clean up,” I chuckle and drop my eyes down to where I made a mess of both of us. I didn’t care where the hell my cum was gonna land as long as it was in Evie’s proximity. That’s how it got on the front of her skirt and top.
I lick at my lips when I realize that her hand is still hiding under the material as she’s touching herself. She notices me looking and seems startled, like she has no idea how she ended up in this situation.
“Uh, I need to clean up as well. I’ll go take a shower.”
She jumps up from the floor with rushed movements and just about runs toward where her bedroom is located. It takes me a lot longer to do just the same. With my jeans around my ankles, it takes a bit of effort to lift myself from the floor without face planting back into it.
I don’t bother to pull up my zipper or do my button. Instead, I wipe my hands on the denim material and pull my t-shirt off in one smooth move. Getting into the shower with Evie is all I can think about.
The trip to her bathroom is not that long. I smile when I enter and find her naked, just looking at the water that’s running.
“You’re just going to stare at it, baby?” I tease her and drop my t-shirt to the floor. Her shoulders tense and she seems scared to turn around.
Deciding to give her some space, I lean against the sink and wait for her to look at me. I rest my hands on the countertop, grabbing the edge, feeling like I could break pieces off it if I squeezed any harder.
“Are you scared?”
My voice comes out in a teasing tone while, deep inside, I am nervous as fuck. Something is happening with her. And not like I was expecting her to sayI love youback right away, but some sort of a reaction would be welcome.
I can almost see the exact moment when she decides that she’d rather die than let me think she’s scared of anything. Her shoulders pull back, and she spins around, not caring that she is completely naked.
“Why would you say that?” she smirks when she asks. Her eyes drop to my hands on the counter, noticing how tense they are and enjoying the fact.
I shrug, completely at odds with how I feel. “You seem antsy.”
“Not antsy at all,” she smiles, but it’s not sincere. “I’m only wondering why you’re still here.”
Her statement truly takes me by surprise. “Where else would I be?”
I have no idea what gave her the impression that I was done for the night.
“Isn’t that what you’ve been doing though?” she makes sure to remind me. “You’d come to me almost every day for weeks now, but you never spend the night. In fact,” she puts a finger up, distracting me with the gentle sway of her tits when she does so. “Other than the very first time we had sex, you never spent the night here again. On top of that…” She now takes a step closer, the finger higher in the air. “You never, not even once, asked me to come to your place. What are you hiding?”
“Hiding?” I snort in disbelief. “I’m not hiding anything. I’ve been buried in work at the shop. And I have a few other business engagements that required my attention…”
Her hands go to her hips in an aggressive move. The fact that she is naked is rendering me speechless.
“Business engagements,” she rolls her eyes at me. “Is that what they call it now?”
“Call what now?” I try to keep up with the conversation at hand. It’s not easy.
“You making me your side chick,” she explodes. “How dare you?”
I finally get where she’s going with this. Thank God that James gave me a heads up about this, or I’d have been walking in it blind.
“Babe,” I try to interrupt her.
“That’s fine though.” She is moving her arms up and down before she starts fanning her face with her hands. The hot water still running in the shower has turned the fairly small space of the bathroom into a sauna. “You’re my side dude, too,” she continues.
“I’m your side dude,” I repeat what she just said. I know she’s bluffing, and I hate how much my stupid actions are now affecting her. Time to come clean with everything. “Babe, I am your main dude, too. Side, main, I’m it.”
She is ready to blow fire by the time I am done talking.
“I cannot believe the nerve on you, Cal Prentice. The nerve,” she repeats.
