My eyes drift back down to Roan’s naked chest and linger on his washboard abs. “Ye—yes,” I stammer, the heat returning to my cheeks. I turn to my uncle. “Is there a meeting room where I can wait?”Far, far away from naked soccer players and knowing smirks?
Vaughn nods. “There’s a small conference room across the hall. Why don’t you guys finish up and meet Alice in there in five.”
I turn on my heel, attempting to skip away only to end up smacking into another bare chest. This one is peppered with several tattoos.
“Cousin!” Tanner’s loud voice booms as he cinches the towel around his waist. I see Booker standing in the background with a rueful smile on his face. “If you want to see some trouser snakes, I recommend finding some you’re not related to by blood.”
“Tanner!” I exclaim, my cheeks heating with embarrassment.
“Or better yet, just set up a profile on Porn Hub. The free stuff you find on there is not bad.”
Vaughn sighs heavily and pinches the bridge of his nose. “Ignore him, Alice.” He gestures for me to follow him.
As I pass by Booker, he offers me a sympathetic eye roll that does nothing to quell the humiliation his brother so casually inflicted right in front of my one-night stand.
