Miles: And you don’t have Tommy for the rest of the week, right? I say you plan a cozy getaway, take her on dates, spend time with her. You won’t have this chance of being just the two of you again for a while.
Xander: Look at you, Miles. Giving good advice and shit. Who would have thought you had it in you to know how to melt a woman’s heart, Hallmark style.
Miles: That’s my secret. I know how to make a woman swoon, I just choose to have fun instead. *shrug emoji*
River: Miles, you’re an idiot. I hope there’s a woman out there who will turn your life upside down and make you eat your words.
Miles: No way, brother. I give them a good time (the best time, really) and then we part ways. That’s how I like it. And they know it.
River: I might be the least experienced here but I’d do something for her. Something you know will make her happy. Show her you listento her.
Gio: I’m not going to comment on how hilarious it is that Riv can give good advice but won’t take it for himself. Instead, I’m going to say that when I was trying to woo my wife I took her on unique, special dates. Like the day I hired her favorite singer and we had a private concert. Or the day I took her on a hot air balloon ride and we had a vineyard just to ourselves. The point is to get to know each other in a setting that doesn’t involve the boss/employee role.
Xander: Be serious, Gio. We all aren’t billionaires.
Gio: Ha! Says the one who got his girl a fucking Mercedez Benz.
Miles: I agree, Xander has to sit this one out, but the point is that you have to do something that shows her you know what she likes, what she wants, and you can deliver.
River: Gio cursing? Xander, you really hit a nerve there.
Miles: haha, I love it here.
Xander: Nah, Gio and I are tight. He knows it’s all in good fun.
Xander: The weather this week is beautiful, maybe you can take her on a hike? Rain and I love going on hikes and getting frisky *smirk emoji*
River: Okay, I’m out of here. Thanks, Xander for being so disgustingly obnoxious. You’re lucky my sister is in love with you because if it was for me…
Xander: Awww, I love you too, River. Thanks for being an outstanding brother in law. And go get your head out of your ass.
Miles: If it was up to you what, Riv? You like Xander, no shame in admitting we have the best brothers in law we could have asked for.

Feeling lighter than I had when I left Daisy in my place earlier today, a plan begins to takeshape in my mind.
I take a bite of the delicious lasagna she made for me, and a low moan escapes at the mix of delicious flavors. She knows me—really knows me.
