“Maggie sent us home with a pile of leftovers,” Josh said, swirling the liquid in his glass. “It’s the best of both worlds. We don’t have to cook Thanksgiving dinner, and we still have turkey sandwiches forthreedays.”

“You really have cracked the code,” Jason said, lifting his glass to Josh. “Isaluteyou.”

“Do we get to hear about your mystery boyfriend now?” Axel asked. “I’ve waited, like, hours.”

Jason propped his head in one hand. “There’s no mystery boyfriend. But I do have a really hot neighbor. He lives next door to the new house.” Jason had just moved—finally—to Merryline to be closer to his office andclientele.

“How much do we know about the hot neighbor?” Axelinquired.

“Well…” Jason laughed. “There was anincident.”

“A naked incident?” Calebasked.

“Yeah.” Jason sighed. “Much fun was had. But when I picked him up at The Shaft I sort of left out the fact that I lived next door. And afterward he was kind of pissed offaboutthat.”

“Why?” Joshasked.

“Not sure.” Jason frowned. “I guess it could seem sort of stalkerish. But we were both on the same page. It was just a hookup. A really awesomehookup.”

“What does he look like?” Caleb asked. “What’syourtype?”

“Not sure I have a type. But he’s a rough-looking bearded guy. Think lumbersexual. He’d fit in better in the woods than he does in myneighborhood.”

“Are we going to see this house?” Iasked.

“Anytime. I have guest rooms. But only one of them has a bedinit.”

“We could go to The Shaft,” Axel said, moving his leg under the tablebesidemine.

“That is a terrible name for a bar,”Joshsaid.

“The worst,” I agreed, stroking Axel’s footwithmine.

“Well.” Jason pushed back his chair. “I have to head home. And it isn’t because you’re grilling me. But it’s late, and I have a longdrive.”

“You could crash at our place,” Caleboffered.

“I’m gonna drive home,” Jason insisted. “I’m listening to a sexy audio book and I turned it off at a good part. Makes the miles fly by. And it’s the only play I’m getting tonight. Unlike youpeople.”

“I think I’m too full for sex,” Caleb grunted, standing up, too. “Let’s go home, babe. I need to hibernate likeabear.”

We saw our friends out, then took the last of the glasses to the kitchen. A few minutes later we climbed into our new, king-sized bed and met in the middle. “I can’t get it on with my mom in the house,” Axelwhispered.

I burst out laughing. “Okay.” After we’d moved in together, it had taken me a little while to get used to having sex under the same roof as my brothers. I did it anyway, but at the beginning it seemedrisky.

But not anymore. These days we got plenty. Which is why Axel didn’t mind that a little making out was all that would happentonight.

“Not too tight,” he groaned as I hugged him. “I’m so full. I mightexplode.”

“That’s so sexy.” Chuckling, Ikissedhim.

He wrapped his arms around me and sighed. “Explosions aside, that was an awesomeholiday.”

“It was,” I agreed. “But now starts the march toward Christmas. I don’t know what togetyou.”

“Nothing,” he said quickly. “I already have everythingIwant.”

The same was true for me, but instead of saying so, I teased him. “Well, I guess I’ll have to return that blowjob I was going togiveyou.”
