“No kidding.” He swirls his hand over that glorious cock head and grunts with pleasure. “You know what would get me there?”
“What?” I gasp.
“Let me see your face. I love your dick, but I really miss your sexy eyes.”
My heart flutters dangerously. I’ve always understood that it’s a privilege to fall in love, and to be loved by someone who appreciates you.
How extraordinary that I’m offered that chance twice in one lifetime.
I move the phone, resting it on my book. I capture my bare chest and my flushed face. Self-conscious now, I look away from the camera and stroke myself to Hudson’s feverish dirty talk.
“That’s it, baby. Can’t wait to get you home and take care of you myself. Love it when you’re desperate. Love to make you shoot.”
I glance at the screen and see him jerking his thick cock between muscular thighs. It’s my little secret how much I like the press of his strong legs around my body when he holds me in bed. The security of it.
“You crave this, don’t you?”
“Yes,” I admit, throwing my head back. “Can’t wait to have you in my bed again.”
“Show me how much,” he pants. “Love it when you come for me.”
So I do.

The next morning, I am the picture of cheer. I don’t even try to hide my enthusiasm for going home. I speed-eat my breakfast and then hurry to pack up all our belongings.
Eustace fusses over Jordyn, and gets a little teary when I begin to pack up the rental car.
Outside, Jordyn hugs her grandparents tightly. After making sure that Jordyn is seat-belted in the back, Eustace walks around the car to bid me goodbye.
“Thank you for bringing her,” she whispers to me.
“It was my pleasure,” I say as genuinely as I can manage. To her credit, Eustace didn’t say any of the manipulative things that I imagined her saying on this trip. She didn’t even bring up the idea of Jordyn moving here for good.
I’m a good father, whether she likes to admit it or not. And she’s not a stupid woman. So maybe this truce will hold.
“I hope you’ll call me if you need anything,” she whispers. “I know childcare is expensive.”
“Appreciate that,” I say with genuine gratitude. “But I’ve got it covered for now.” Jordyn’s summer program starts on Monday. She’s excited to go.
Thanks to Hudson, of course. But I don’t mention that.
“Take care,” she says, placing a hand on my arm. “I can’t wait to see you both again soon.”
“You too,” I manage. “Be well.”
She gives me a shaky smile, and I climb behind the wheel. Here’s to you, Eddie. Hope you’re smiling down at us right now.
He doesn’t weigh in, of course. But I’m not as anxious about it anymore. I feel like I’ve found my feet. Sure, it took a while.
Just like this drive is going to take a while. Four hours to be exact. Eustace had offered to fly us from New York to Boston, but I’d stubbornly rented a car instead, because I didn’t want more of her charity.
Seems foolish in retrospect.
Jordyn must agree with me. She’s fidgety the whole way back. “Are we there yet?” she keeps asking from the back seat.
“Nope. Soon,” I say at the three hour mark. “We’re still in Connecticut.”
