“Would you like me to read to you tonight?”

“Are you using my own code against me?” I laugh.

“You know it.”

“Take your boxers off then.”

“Take off your nightdress then.” We both casually undress, and I move my pillow up against James’ leg and settle my head across this lap.

“Open those pretty lips wide for me baby,” I do as he asks, stretching them wide as he feeds the head of his erect cock into my mouth, and I begin to gently suckle as he starts to read the words from my book to me. As he becomes softer in my mouth, I begin to drift off to sleep in my favourite way.

Getting ready for a playmate job feels more routine now, like I’ve been doing it for years and not a few months. I dress in a pair of slim fitting jeans and put on a cute top and blazer paired with heels the same pale blue as my top. Seeing as the job is a needles kink, I don’t think it matters what I wear as I’ll be naked very soon.

James made a carbonara for an early dinner which I was able to stomach surprisingly well which just goes to show I am getting used to my new career. I kiss and say goodbye to the kids 10 minutes before Frank is due to collect me knowing full well how suddenly chatty they become when I’ve got to get out of the front door.

With a few minutes to go, James pulls me into a hug and reminds me of everything he usually says, “Remember, you don’t need the money, you don’t have to do or let someone else do to your body that you are uncomfortable with. If you do not like it or it hurts way too much, use your safe word and get the hell out of there. What is your safe word?”

“Neptune.”

“Good, use it. Look after yourself.”

“I will do, I promise.”

“OK, well, have fun, I’m sure you’ll love it like all the other jobs. I’m not sure who is kinkier—you or your clients.”

“James!” I exclaim in mock horror.

“It’s true and we know it,” he says winking playfully as he squeezes my arse. He leans in and kisses me gently on the lips as his hand circles the back of my head. I smell the beer on his lips before I taste it as he deepens the kiss holding me close to him. Our tongues tangle in a familiar dance before my phone buzzes and I know Frank is outside.

“See you soon Rose Petal,” James says as he leaves a kiss on my nose before pulling away.

“See you soon, Husband,” I reply as I turn away from him and leave the house towards a job that either wants to create art with me as the pinboard or just wants to cause me some serious pain. Another day, another new experience that I have no clue how I’ll feel or react to.

I climb into Frank’s waiting car and he gives me a warm hello. I tie the eye mask on before Frank pulls away for our 90 minute drive. Frank turns the radio up as I rest my head on the back seat and relax into the leather seat. Not being able to see helps you relax more than you can ever imagine.

I hear Frank softly saying my name, “Roxy, we are here.” The radio is turned down so I can barely hear it and Frank continues, “You can take off your eye mask now.”

I do as he suggests and blink out of the window to see where we are. Are we at a cabin? “Frank, are you sure we’re in the right location?” I ask, worry filtering into my voice.

“This is the right location; I can see a Jag tucked just behind the cabin. This is a holiday home of some sort I believe.”

“Oh right, yeah that makes sense.”

“I will be waiting close by Roxy, if you need to leave, I will take you straight home on time or before,” Frank reassures me kindly. I think that’s more than he’s ever said to me in one go.He must be picking up on my unease. I wonder if staying close is policy for Red jobs or if it’s just because it’s my first one?

“Thanks Frank, that’s really reassuring, I appreciate it. I’m sure it’s totally fine, it just caught me off-guard is all. We usually go to a residence of some sort.”

“Indeed, I can see why you might question this one Roxy, but we are in the correct location.”

“Ok Frank, I’ll see you in four hours,” I say as I open the door and climb out.

“See you soon Roxy,” replies Frank as I climb out of the car. I wonder if he knows anything about this job or the person he’s just taken me to. Maybe he recognised the car. I hope he doesn’t know what job I’m about to do, that makes me feel all kinds of uncomfortable if he does. Like my dad knowing.

I close the door and walk along the path to the small, plain wood cabin. There are no others in sight. The cabin I am about to knock on has no personality, no plants in pots at the door or pretty curtains lining the windows. No colour or human touch in sight. I knock timidly on the door. I don’t have to wait long before the door creaks open and a slim man in his late forties steps forward. He is tall, wears corduroy looking slacks with a checked brown shirt unbuttoned at the collar. I take him in as he takes me in. He has short wavy brown hair to match brown sparkling eyes behind gold rimmed glasses. He reminds me of an attractive looking professor. Maybe he is.

“Roxy, please do come in,” he says with a curious smile tugging on the corners of his lips, almost as though he’s surprised I’ve actually come. He moves and guides me into the cabin turning on the lights. To my surprise, it’s one room like a studio apartment. I can see a small bed, a small kitchenette with a tiny table with two chairs and a door at the back which I hope leads out to a bathroom seeing as I cannot see one right now. The room smells musky and almost untouched. “I’mHugh,” he says quite pleasantly, holding out his hand. I accept it and he gives me a firm shake as his hand engulfs mine.
