I grind my hips up to meet his thrusts. “Then fucking come.”
He pounds into me harder and faster. He pulls out and warm liquid lands on my stomach. He leans down and kisses me.
“This is the best sex I’ve ever had.”
“You’re welcome,” I joke.
He smiles. “I’ll be right back,” he says, running to the bathroom. He comes back with a wet washcloth. “I think this is the last washcloth.”
I laugh. “It’s a sign. We can’t do it again.”
He wipes me clean and then says, “I’m going to take a shower. Want to join?”
I shake my head. “I’ll wait my turn.”
He takes a quick minute in the shower while I scroll on my phone. When he’s done, he walks out fully clothed. “I’m going to run downstairs while you’re in the shower and grab us coffee.”
“Okay,” I say, eyeing the phone in his palm.
It lights up with a text, so I look at the screen.
He glances at it and says, “Okay, I’ll be right back.”
When he walks out of the room, I have a heavy pit in my stomach that he’s meeting with his mom downstairs. I try to ignore the feeling as I hop into the shower. I don’t know what she’ll say, or if he’ll be upset, but I’m worried about how deep her hatred is for me. I shake the anxiety I feel because Matt’s words replay in my head. I’m all his, and I don’t think anyone can change his mind.
Amber: You’ll never guess what?
Jen: Omg tell me!
Amber: Matt and I are official
Jen: Shut up!
Jen: I knew it! I knew you guys would bone the second he walked into the Grind Stone
Jen: Aw, I’m so happy for you.
Amber: Thank you. I’m happy too.
I call Riley, and she answers on the second ring. “Are you screwing his brains out?”
I laugh. “Riley!”
“What! I’m assuming you guys have done it again?”
“Yeah,” I mutter, turning red. “We have. And it’s so good.”
She squeals. “I cannot remember the last time you got laid! This is a big deal, Amber. Are you in love?”
I chuckle nervously. “You know what they say about love and hate?” I feel so stupid for quoting Matthew right now. “It’s basically the same feeling.”
She cuts me off. “You are in love!” She squeals again, so I pull the phone away from my ear. “He must be good in bed.”
“Oh my God. So good.” I get butterflies in my stomach as I think about him inside of me. “Okay. I need to shower and meet him downstairs.”
“Don’t forget about me now that you’re taken. Bye, love you.”
I laugh. “I won’t. Love you too.”
