Her eyes dropped to Gavin’s hard cock. She looked bored, no desire on her face whatsoever.

Kyler’s saddle laid on the ground waiting for Gavin to shift so the attendants could place it on his back. They had fussed for a bit before Gavin told them Kylerwasridinghim, whether they liked it or not. It didn’t matter to Kyler who he rode, as long as he didn’t fall off. Or a strap broke. Or a buckle came undone.

“Everything will be okay.” Gavin cupped Kyler’s chin.

“I’m not worried,” Kyler lied. He was terrified, but he knew how to play the game.

“Who do you plan on riding?” Damon asked Ailey.

“Gavin, of course. Heismy fiance.” Ailey glared. “And we have much to discuss.”

“Kyleris riding me. You can go with Damon.”

“I will not. Your boy toy can ride Dam—”

Gavin growled, the sound was riddled with dragon magic. Ailey didn’t budge.

“Boy toy? Kyler is my pair-bond and he will—”

Kyler reached out. “Love, it’s okay. This came as a shock to Ail—”

“How dare you refer to me so informally,” she practically yelled at Kyler before turning to Gavin. “I will not cause war over this, but we have discussions that cannotwait much longer.”

Gavin crossed his arms over his chest and looked her over. “They will wait until I’m in my human form again. I do not talk about anything important telepathically. Iwillshut you out.”

Ailey stomped her foot, but there wasn’t much force behind it. “Fair enough.” Her shoulders relaxed, and she leaned closer to Gavin. He stood his ground. “For the record, I don’t wish to marry you either.”

“Then we’re all in agreement.”

“Yes. That we’ll be talking as soon as we land.” Ailey waved at the attendants that carried her saddle toward the clearing. “I’ll take Damon as long as you promise me that talk.”

“Done.” Gavin pulled Kyler away from the princess.

Kyler liked her spunk and couldn’t contain his giggle. If he thought about it, the sound was ill timed, but his mind whirled because he was about to ride a dragon.

Gavin cupped Kyler’s cheeks and kissed him gently on the lips until he sighed and relaxed. Thick fingers wove in Kyler’s hair, and he sank into the play, relishing the prince’s mouth on him.

“Sorry.” Gavin pressed his forehead to Kyler’s.

“No need to be,” Kyler mumbled against Gavin’s lips. Barnacles, what had he gotten himself into?

“I’ll shift first,” Damon started. “Then Gavin.”

Everyone made room for Damon in the clearing. He stood naked, glorious body glistening in the sun. Kyler couldn’t look away. He’d only witnessed a dragon shift once, and it’d almost been a disaster at sea. Damon’s skin rippled. A roar ripped from his mouth as scales took over his flesh. The scales rattled as he bulked and grew. A long tail snaked from his back as he was forced to all fours. Kyler blinked, and in the second it took, Damon was a dragon. Huge with golden brown scales just like his eyes.

Kyler thought Vex was big in dragon form, but Damon had him beat. No wonder they’d only be traveling with one guard.

“Is he eggborn too?” Kyler couldn’t help the question.

“He is, and he’s centuries older than I am.”

Kyler did a double take. He would not have guessed. Not that Kyler could tell ages, especially with shifter types.

They watched the attendants climb the dragon to place the saddle. Kyler didn’t envy the ones under the dragon’s chest that had to make sure everything was secure.

“Everything is reinforced by magic. The strapscan’tbreak.”

“How did you know I was worried about that?”
