“I noticed you were reserved with your hay, and I wanted to remedy that. Come on,” I say, pressing a kiss to his knuckles. “We gotta go.”

We race to his car, even though we have plenty of time. My sweet bunny has a thing about being late and I respect that. To him, early is on time, on time is late. I never used to worry, but if we’re going to be some place right on time, he gets anxious and if there’s anything I can do to help him not be anxious, I do it. We get to the shop forty-five minutes early every day and today is no exception.

We have deliveries today and it has Pisces checking his phone every five minutes until the first one arrives.

“It’s here!” The delivery driver hands him a small package and Pisces already has it ripped open before the person is out the door. There are two gift-wrapped boxes that he hands over to me. “Open them. I got two, so we have a set for here and home.”

I cock a brow, wondering what he got, but the moment I have the paper peeled back, I have a grin a mile wide. “Alphabet fridge magnets.”

“And I have more magnets coming. They’re words so we can make sentences.”

“Oh, Pisces, I love it. Love you.”

His mouth makes a little O and I realize what I’d said. A month and I’m already head over heels in love with this man.

Pisces nibbles his bottom lip and drops his gaze to the floor. He seems to fight with himself because he squares his shoulders and looks me in the eye. “I love you too, but didn’t know if it was too soon to say anything. It’s only been a little over a month and?—”

“I don’t think it’s too soon.” We’re two pieces of the same part. We just fit together.

As if we’re on the same brainwave, we close the gap between us.

“Gods and Santas and snowflakes. Pisces, I love you.” My fingers thread in his hair, making his rabbit ears twitch. Our lips meet and I swear it’s the best kiss in the world. It’s chaste and sweet to begin with, but neither of us can keep our hands off each other. The kiss turns sloppy, all tongue and teeth, until someone knocks on the shop door.

Pisces lets out a surprised yelp and turns so damn red when he faces the patron waving at us from beyond the glass. Luckily for both of us, it’s Yolanda, with the biggest grin on her face.

Pisces’s final gentle alarm goes off, indicating it’s time to open the shop. He hops to the door and unlocks the door, not even making eye contact with Yolanda.

“Omg omg omg are you two finallyfinallytogether together?” Her eyes bounce from me to Pisces and back.

“We’ve been sleeping together the whole time.” I wink and she opens her mouth.

“Not likethat, though. Just sleep,” Pisces says and Yolanda pouts.

“Well—”

Pisces shrugs. “Until today.”

Yolanda squeals and jumps up and down, taking Pisces’s hands. He pulls me into their little happy bubble.

Yolanda practically has stars in her eyes. “I’m so happy for you two. You’re perfect together. And when you start having babies, they are going to be the cutest.”

I kiss the top of Pisces’s head. “I really do have the cutest mate in all the land. Our babies are going to be downright adorable.” And oh, I hope they’re shifters because baby bunnies, they make me want to cry from the cuteness.

He pulls away from me and faces Yolanda again. “Would you like to hang out with us sometime? Dinner maybe? You and Shelia, of course.”

“I thought you’d never ask.” She pulls him into a hug. “I’ve been waiting for you to be ready to let people in.”

He chuckles as she releases him. “I’m a tiny bit stubborn sometimes.”

“You’re afraid of getting hurt again and I get it. But you have so many people that want to really get to know you, Pi.” She squeezes his shoulder and gives me a grin. “Right now, though, I need a few white candles and black tourmaline for the office. There’s bad energy in there and I need to clean it up.” She bustles past us knowing exactly where to go.

Pisces looks up at me. “We’re going on a friend date. With friends!”

“We are.” Tears sting my eyes, but don’t fall. A month with my fated and everything is so different.
