“Don’t forgeta boat load of sunscreen,” Kevin says. “And don’t forget Bandit. Your sweet Little needs his stuffie back.”
“I got him in the front seat, all buckled in.”
“Good thing that Maddie girl told you everything.”
“Funny how I already reserved my month at Trevor’s dad’s hotel before we even met.”
“It’s like fate. You’re a sexy Daddy wolf shifter and he’s your adorable Little wolf cub you need to save.”
“You’re reading paranormal romance again, aren’t you?”
“Yep, always! Anyway, have a load of fun. Don’t you dare take your work laptop with you and don’t log into emails.”
“Don’t plan on either. The last two weeks I’ve been looking forward to this vacation.” Especially knowing I’ll see Trevor again.
He’s going to love the surprise or hate it. I hope he loves it.
The hour drive is pleasant and I’m thankful it’s not bad weather. Bandit and I are jamming to some Disney musicals because sometimes Daddies need to just be silly on their own too. I talk to Bandit and tell him all about myself.
I knew I was a Daddy since I was about twenty, but it was hard to find Littles interested in such a young Daddy. Too many people think age makes the Daddy, and that’s not exactly true. I love taking care of people and always have. Being a Daddy, just made sense to me. I joined the club not long after discovering the life in college. I found a few Littles to play with before I found Ryan.
I imagine Bandit has reactions to my stories. I know his expressions are all in my head, but it’s fun to think, anyway.
“Ryan broke my heart. We’d been together for five years, then he decided he didn’t want to live the life anymore. Which was fine! I loved him so much, but he’d fallen out of love with me. We tried to make it work, but I had to let him go for both of our good.” I squeeze the steering wheel. “I never told anyone everything.” A chuckle escapes because technically I still haven’t, but it still felt good to get it all out.
When I pull up to Cruiser Beach Hotel, I suck in a breath. “Damn, this place is swanky. I mean, I knew it because I looked at the pictures online, but dang, it’snicein person.” I unbuckle Bandit, making sure to treat him with respect. He comes with me inside.
I get checked in and hand my key to a valet who promises to get my suitcases to my suite in a reasonable time.
To be honest, I’m disappointed I haven’t seen Trevor yet, but I don’t know his hours. Maddie was a bit cagey about it, but she spilled so much other information. It was comical how open she was. She said she rationalized it in her head because they were friends outside of the club, too. I just hope Trevor doesn’t get to upset with either of us.
I don’t have to wait long for my suitcases. Bandit sits on the bed, and I wish he was in Trevor’s arms. I unpack everything since I’ll be around for a month. I researched a few places to eat and stuff to do, but right now, the bed is calling me. I had to dosome last-minute work this morning before I could leave and my brain could use a little nap.
I crawl in with Bandit and pass out.

TREVOR
I pushmy headphones to around my neck and knock on the door. “Housekeeping.”
The tag on the doorknob reads ‘Fresh towels, Please’ and I ready them as I wait on the response.
I knock again. “Housekeeping.”
“Come in.” The voice is familiar, but I can’t place it. Not until I push open the door.
My eyes go wide. Daddy Andy stands in front of me with the prettiest smile on his face. “Sweetheart.”
“Andy.” My heart pounds. Brain goes into overdrive. “Are—Are you stalking me?” I backtrack out of the room, but he catches my cart.
“Oh shit. No, Trevor, I promise. This is just a really funny coincidence.” He turns around and rummages through a bag while my head tries to decide if I need to run or not. Andy doesn’t give me predator vibes and never has, so I stay to hear him out. He turns back to me with papers in his hands. “I reserved the room before we ever met. My business partner said I had to take a vacation, or he was kicking me out of the firm. Ipicked a random beach, and this place came up.” He hands me the papers and I relax.
“Sorry, for…” I nibble my bottom lip. “Never messaging you back. I got in my head that you probably didn’t want to talk to me again after I safe worded about talking.”
“I’d love to talk to you. Maddie kind of spilled the beans that you worked here and at the carnival. I was hoping to see you at some point. But if you don’t want to see me, that’s fine. I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
I drop my head and fiddle with some toilet paper rolls on my cart. “I really enjoyed our time together. But…” I chew on the inside of my cheek. “Little Trevor.” My shoulders drop. “I don’t know how to bring him back. I’ve tried, but it’s not the same. I can’t stay in my Little headspace for longer than a few minutes and I get frustrated so I stop.”
