“Very well.” He turned to Jasper. “Make sure his Majesty has everything he needs.”
“That will be all. You may leave us now.” I turned my back on him. I didn’t need to make sure he left because he knew, if he didn’t, he wouldn’t leave the room alive.
I caught Jasper’s gaze and found something akin to awe in those bright blue orbs.
“Well, that was quite something to watch,” he said, almost grinning.
“Yeah.” My eyes dropped to the bed where Lori was now awake and looking at me with desire burning brightly in her eyes. Her bottom lip was clenched between her teeth as a delightful flush crept up her neck. “That was fucking hot.”
I laughed. Really fucking laughed. All the tension evaporated from me as soon as I realised she was awake and the combination of that and what those words did to me had the tension dispersing in the form of full-blown, side clenching laughter. I’d never been so relieved in all my days.
Chapter 10
LORI
Lucifer was here. He was here and he was having a pleasant conversation with Jasper. I blinked a few times but the image of them standing together was still blatantly there before my eyes. How the Hell did that happen? They even looked like they were getting on. Confusion circled my brain. I felt like I had really missed something here. Whatever had happened after I blacked out must have been monumental if these two had forged some sort of allegiance. I would have expected two such strong characters to be clashing horrifically, yet here they were, heads together exchanging pleasantries. Was it opposite day?
I still had no fucking clue as to what had happened to me. After hearing that voice and being claimed by darkness, everything was kind of fuzzy. I remembered a lot of white and something sinister growling from the shadows. I also remember the feeling of being utterly alone. I couldn’t sense Lucifer through our bond, but worst of all, I couldn’t sense Iveri. It was strange how much I had gotten used to her being a part or me without even realising it.
“Iveri, are you there?”Nothing. Shit.“Come on, where are you?”Panic set in as I turned inward, mentally sifting through my mind to find her. What if I’d destroyed her? What if consuming that unknown substance had somehow hurt her?
Stop your panicking. I’m still here, just a little worse for wear.She sounded exhausted, which wasn’t surprising. I felt exhausted, too.
“I thought I’d lost you. I couldn’t sense you at all in that place. Are you okay?”
I’m fine.She paused and I could almost hear the indecision in her mind.Are you?
“Yeah, just a little shaken up. And more than a little confused.”
I know what you mean. That place was next level crazy.
“You were there?”
Yup. I saw everything. And I mean everything…
The image of me standing between Lucifer and Jasper as they got closely acquainted with the sound of my orgasm flashed through my mind. Was that real?
Damn girl. That was hot. I am going to be enjoying that little morsel for quite a while.Iveri giggled and a mental image of her waggling her eyebrows filled my mind.
“Urgh. Stop it.”

Man, she was right. It had been so long since I’d had any kind of action that my libido was going into overdrive. Or maybe it was just them. They were hot and my mouth was practically watering at the sight of them. Jasper flicked his gaze to me as if sensing my train of thoughts. I didn’t miss the smirk that curled his gorgeous mouth.

It was real. Well, as real as a shared dream could be. Was it wrong that I wanted to do it again? Just thinking about how seamlessly Jasper and Lucifer had worked together to create that explosive release had my body craving it again. I should be embarrassed. I should want to pull the blanket over my face and hide away but I couldn’t stop staring at the two of them together. One light, one dark. Both so different and yet, both were so similar in character. Both assertive and demanding. Fuck. A night with the two of them? Together? Oh, god. I didn’t think I’d survive it. But now it was all I could think about. The two of them naked. Me naked. A tangle of limbs, grunts and moans filling the air as –
“Do you know how distracting that mind of yours is?” Lucifer hissed between his teeth. His eyes met mine, the fiery rims blazing with unspoken desire. I’d had a taste, a mere hint of what it would be like with them, and now… Well, I don’t think I’d be able to think of anything else again. They needed to stop looking at me like they were about to devour me. It was making me all warm and tingly and my stomach was doing delightful little flip-flops. My heart was racing, and I could hear the stupid machines beeping wildly in the background.
