Mace twists my body, nearly sitting me on his lap. I have to put a hand on his chest to keep steady. “You heard what Tori said, Niles—you two weren’t in a relationship. It was just a few dates. Tori and I are in a committed relationship. So, unless you want to apologize to Tori, I suggest you move along.”

Niles wrinkles his nose and looks down on us. “Fine.” He shifts his gaze from Mace to me. “I’m sorry if I offended you, Victoria.” He knows I hate my real name and prefer to go by the shortened version, Tori, but just like on our three dates and at work, he still calls me by my full first name. He shifts his gaze back to Mace, but not before I catch the gleam in his eyes that says he’s not sorry. “Are you happy now?” Niles tugs on his date's arm, dragging her away from our table.

Once I’m sure Niles is out of sight, I turn to Mace, “Thanks again for your help. Mr. McElroy. I owe you one.” I try to slide off his lap, but he tightens his grip around my waist.

“Stay.” My breath catches in my throat as I stare into my boss’s eyes, almost positive he’s going to kiss me again. Instead, he breaks the spell by saying, “Just in case Niles comes back.” All I can do is nod.

The next forty-five minutes test my self-control as my body yearns to curl up in Mace’s lap on top of the bulge I can feel pressing against me from inside his pants. Fortunately, my brain has more sense than my body, and I manage to ignore the hardlength pushing against my hip. I steal a glance at it when I think he’s not looking, only to be left wondering if it’s as thick as it looks.

Imust be caughtin a Twilight Zone—a state of mind between reality and fantasy—that’s the only explanation for kissing Tori at lunch today. It’s the only reason I can think of for why she kissed me and asked me to pretend to be her boyfriend.

My lips still tingle from the sensation of how perfect her lips felt on mine. When I deepened the kiss, she was right there with me, giving as good as she was getting. Fuck, if it wasn’t the most perfect kiss ever. Then my fucking ex-stepbrother had to ruin it by being his normal dickhead self.

It’s not lost on me that if Niles hadn’t walked into the same restaurant we were at today, Tori would never have kissed me. The chance to have Tori sit in my lap for the rest of our lunch was one I couldn’t pass up. It might have been a selfish move, but it was definitely worth whatever penalty I’ll have to face to feel her curvy body in my arms instead of just imagining it day and night.

I glance toward my private bathroom in my office, wondering if I have enough time to jerk off in there before my next meeting—I’ve been hard ever since Tori’s lips first touched mine. The decision is made for me when my cell phone rings with a picture of my mother popping up on the screen, conveniently deflating any boner I might have had.

“Hey, Mom. What’s up?” I answer the phone, ready for any crazy matchmaking ideas she might throw at me, since it seems like her and Grandma have made it their life mission this past year to find me a wife.

“What’s up is, why did I have to hear from my ex-husband that you are dating someone?”

Niles, that little asshole. Of course, he'd run to his father with the news, who would then tell my mom. My ex-stepfather, Ted, isn’t a bad guy; he just has a blind spot when it comes to Niles. I believe that’s what ultimately ended his marriage to my motherthree years ago, which is too bad because they are perfect for each other.

“It’s still pretty new. We were planning on keeping it a secret for a little longer—at least until after the holidays.” That explanation should give us some time to come up with a cover story for why Tori won’t be with me during the holidays.

“I don’t think so, young man. Your grandmother and I have already told the family you’re bringing her to Thanksgiving on Thursday. We even invited Ted and Niles."

“But…” I start to say, but she cuts me off.

“No buts about it. You know, your grandmother and I have been eager to have babies around the house again. And since your sisters think that at twenty-three and twenty-four, they’re too young to have kids, that leaves you, even though I was nineteen when I had you.” I only half-listen to what my mother is saying as I try to come up with a plan to have Tori uninvited. “So, we expect to see both you and Victoria for Thanksgiving. I’ll make sure to have your room ready since I know you won’t want to sleep apart from her even for a few nights.”

Shit, I didn’t even think about sharing a bed with Tori.

“It’s Tori, Mom. She goes by Tori.” I say absentmindedly as I try to block out the image of Tori’s luscious curves laid out on my childhood bed, where I spent many nights as a teenager masturbating to the idea of having a beautiful woman in that same bed.

“Tori. What a lovely name. I like it so much more than Victoria. You know, I had a girl in my class back in high school named Victoria.” I let my mom ramble on, only catching bits and pieces of her story.

A soft knock on my closed office door draws my attention back to the present. “Mom, I’ve got to go. My next meeting has just arrived.” I interrupt her story.

“Okay, dear. I’ll see you and Tori on Wednesday night. I know how you kids like to go to the bar and meet up with all your friends the night before Thanksgiving.”

I haven’t done that in eight years—not since college--but I don’t have the heart to correct her. “Sounds good, Mom. We’ll see you then.” I hang up the call and raise my voice for the person behind the door to come in. “Come in.”

The door opens to reveal a gorgeous Tori standing there with her notebook and pen in hand—ready to take notes for my virtual meeting. Could I use the features in the meeting to summarize the conversation? Sure, I could, but what fun would that be when I could have Tori’s undivided attention in the room with me while I sat through boring meeting after boring meeting?

“Are you ready for me?” Her words are innocent enough, but they go straight to my cock. Of course, I’m ready for her—I’m always ready for her.

“Yes. Have a seat.” I motion for her to take her usual spot closest to me by the side of my desk. It’s close enough that I could reachout and touch her if I wanted to, but still out of sight, so any of the assholes in the virtual meeting can’t see what’s mine.

Mine.

With that thought my mind is made up on what I need to do.

“Tori, we have a small problem," I lean back in my chair before logging onto the meeting. “It seems Niles told my mother that I have a girlfriend. She and my grandmother were so happy about the news that they’ve invited you to spend Thanksgiving with us at my grandmother’s house.” When she doesn’t say a word, only blinking rapidly like a malfunctioning robot, I cash in my IOU from her. “I’m going to need you to join me and pretend to be my girlfriend as payment for letting Niles think I’m your boyfriend.”
