“Wait, you aren’t looking for Grace?” I frowned at Torch, who quite honestly was just as feral for protecting his woman as any of us. He smirked at me.
“Shut her in the van, didn’t I? She’s waiting for me to come back with lube, to fuck her ass.”
I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath.
“Ever heard of TMI, fuckhead? You could have just left it at shut in the van.”
He laughed. “Yeah, I know. Still, I find any lube when this is done, and she’s getting it.”
I decided this conversation was done for now, and followed Micro as he ran straight into trouble.
The aforementioned trouble was four guys, who were acting like they were on a fucking patrol, and that was definitely a bad sign, since they were all fucking armed with guns.
Intruder 2
Iswear, all Iwanted to do was video this shit, because it was pure insanity, from the guy merrily tattooing god only knows on people, to the guy prancing around like he’s on a horse, oh and the VP who took a fucking nosedive off a building. These were the guys who’d fucked us over? Seriously, I was mortally ashamed of that fact. We couldn’t take these fuckers down?Shameful.
“I put a bullet in that fucker, but it’s not a fatal one, the fucker tried to pirouette or some shit, just as I targeted him. Up close and personal is going to work better here. They’re too fucking mobile.”
I rolled my eyes at that dipshit. Thought he was the big man because he’d suggested this, when I was the one who did all the fucking work. We’d been coming and going for two days now, without being spotted, because we know what the hell we’re doing, and their security left a lot to be desired, from gates being left open, to prospects sneaking off to drink, while they should be watching the areas not covered by cameras. Let me be clear here. There are two fucking blind spots in this entire compound, and if we hadn’t figured them out, with a little trial and error, we would have been caught on day one.
“I think what we need is to pick off the ones who’ve already been isolated by the sober ones. They’ll be the easiest targets, and besides, that’ll really fuck up the guys who think they’ve saved them, when they realise they handed them to us on a fucking platter.”
I was really getting tired of his voice, if I’m honest. I’d backed him out of necessity, but it was getting old fast. If he survived the night, without my bullet in the back of his skull, I’d be fucking amazed.
“He put one of the old ladies in that van. I say we take her out first.”
I caught his arm as he started to move.
“Wait. You’re gonna kill a chick?”
He shook me free and started moving again.
“Don’t grow a conscience on me now, man. You knew the plan. Kill them all. So some of them have pussies instead of dicks, it’s all the same to me.”
Jesus. It’s not the same to me. I’m all for vengeance, and killing men, but I don’t fucking hurt women. Am I really ready to stoop that low?
I followed him down off the roof, and through the beery mess of the destroyed kegs. They worked it out pretty fast, so probably none of them took in enough to kill them. I mean, unless they had some kind of health issue that made them weak. But now it was hitting me that we dosed women too, and right now they were out of their minds. Anything could happen to them. And one of them was fucking pregnant. That meant we were risking a woman and a fucking kid. I signed up for killing a bunch of assholes, but not a baby. Jesus christ.
A buzzing noise suddenly caught my attention, and I turned to see the blinking lights of a drone moving through the air, and a curse from my asshole partner in crime told me this was the threat I thought it was.
“Shoot it down, fucker!” he hissed at me, trying to get an angle on it himself. My shot went wide, because the fucking thing darted suddenly, dropping in height, and then it exploded as a shot hit it and decimated it.
“Nice shot,” I grudgingly said to the asshole, and he shrugged.
“Wasn’t me.”
Sophie
Isat on Grease’sdesk, waiting with Tori, Cammy, and Lissa, who was still completely oblivious to everything going on, and living her best life. I envied her for the lack of terror she emitted, because knowing this was going on was way worse, and I was terrified of how it’d end. Would someone be hurt? Killed? Would Micro end up blamed for all of this, even though I knew he’d had nothing to do with it. The kegs had been here overnight, so could have been tampered with at any time, and the cameras were blocked from viewing that area by the new racking they’d installed to hold the beer. Since they were meant to be dismantled after the event, there was no concern about there being no camera feed for a few days in that area. We had them everywhere else.
“She’s not looking good, hey, Sophie, can you focus, for fuck’s sake?” I blinked, lifting my head to meet Tori’s worried gaze. Was Lissa suffering now? No, she was pointing at Cammy, who was clutching her huge stomach, and breathing through her teeth.
“Cammy, you okay?” We both got up as she groaned, and lifted panicked eyes to ours.
“No. I don’t think I am.” Oh god, what if there was something wrong with the baby? What if all of this craziness had caused a problem?
We halted in our approach as liquid began to pool under her chair, and she groaned again, louder this time.
