“The brother?”

“I like him. He did right by his sister. They’re both fine.”

CHAPTER 42

Love of My Life

Ciara

Present …

“What are you thinking about?”Dylan asks as I stand in the mirror staring at my reflection.

I smile to myself as I lift my gaze to his. Dylan is still as handsome as the day I walked into his gym and triggered my memories of him. I sink back into him as he moves to wrap his arms around me.

“I was thinking that your family knows how to throw a wedding. That was so much fun. After everything we’ve all been through, everyone seemed to be so happy.

“I know it’s not all over and we still have a few loose ends to tie up, but today felt like a win. Like, we’re all that much closer to finding and plugging the holes. You know?”

“I know what you mean, and I believe you’re right. We can all begin to move on with our lives. Ryan did a good thing.

“I think we all needed this—to be together as a family. We’re all bringing in the New Year with a fresh start. New beginnings,” he replies. “Yeah, we’re still waiting to find them and be done for good, but to be honest, will it ever be over?”

I turn in his arms and look up into his eyes. He searches my face as he looks back at me. The last four years have been trying, but I’ve fallen so much deeper in love with this man.

“No, you’re right. I don’t think it will be. Ciarán is turning eighteen and he wants to come here to spend time with the uncles. I didn’t want him to, but you’re right. This will always be a part of our lives and he should know what that means firsthand.

“I can’t hold on to him forever. Maybe it’s time I let go and move forward with starting my own family. That is, if you still want that.”

I hardly get to finish my words before he crushes my lips in a hard kiss. I hear more than see my dress being torn down the back. I snicker because he’s looked like he wanted to tear it from my body since this morning, when I first got ready for the wedding.

I had a feeling the sheer panels would get me this kind of reaction. The dress was tasteful but sexy. Taegan and Dahila thought it was perfect. I wasn’t sure until I saw Dylan’s eyes light up the first time he saw me.

“I’ve wanted to start a family with you since the day you walked into my gym and back into my life. You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting to make you mine forever,” he breathes into my mouth.

“Then show me. Let’s make a baby,” I whimper.

He steps back with a sexy smile on his lips and begins to peel off his tux. I’m a little sad to see it go. All the men cleaned up nice for today.

The people were just as gorgeous as the wedding. I hope to have a wedding as perfect as theirs someday. This all has been like falling into a wonderland.

I bite my lip as my man stands before me completely naked. My chest swells with pride as my gaze lands on the 3D tat of my name that runs up his torso on the right side. I love that piece.

I was so nervous but Dyl remained patient with me. I’ve been so entranced by him stripping, I didn’t even think to remove my ruined dress. Instead, I’ve been standing here drooling the entire time.

I snap out of it as he comes closer and unzips the destroyed dress. The fabric floats down to the floor and he lifts me onto his waist. My bare breasts smash against his chest as he captures my lips for another kiss.

I hold on to his powerful shoulders as he carries me into the bedroom. The rooms here are so nice. There’s a fireplace warming the large space that’s bringing its own charm with it.

Dylan places me on the bed and climbs over me. The heat from the fireplace already has a shine of sweat on our skin. I run my hands down his smooth back to his ass and dig my nails in as he devours my mouth.

He breaks the kiss and looks me deeply in the eyes. “No matter where life takes us, remember how much I love you and that I’ll do anything for you,” he says.

I nod and bring his lips back to mine. He reaches for my panties and pulls them down my legs as we drink each other in. I push at his chest for him to fall onto his back.

I’m already slick between the legs, but there’s something I need to do first. Dylan and I have spent a lot of time training mythroat for him to fit without me gagging. It has turned into one of my guilty pleasures.

“Oh shit, baby,” he groans as I begin to bob on his length.
