“Nothing has been done without a purpose. Every dot makes a connection. Your grandfathers set us up.

“One set us up to fail, the other set us up to take over. Don’t take anything for granted. Everything is a gift,” he said as I went to step out of the vehicle.

I shake my thoughts clear as I walk by Ciarán’s room and hear him and Ciara talking inside. A smile comes to my face. As long as I have them safe in my home, I can handle anything.

Not wanting them to catch the scent of gasoline on me, I head for my bedroom for a shower instead of letting them know I’m back. Once in my bedroom, I strip from my clothes and bag them for the fire.

I’m on my third scrub down and rinse when small arms wrap around my waist. I push my wet hair out of my face and turn around in her embrace. Ciara’s eyes are filled with concern.

“Is everything okay?”

“Yeah, I handled the situation.”

“Did you eat? We saved you some of the pizza we ordered. Although I had to fight to make sure you had more than one slice when you returned.”

I laugh. That kid can eat. He’s a growing boy and those workouts are making sure he needs more fuel than usual.

“I’m good. I might get hungry later, but I’m straight for now.”

She runs her hands up my chest as I reach to palm the globes of her ass. I’m hungry, but it’s not for pizza. Seeming to get that, she lifts on her toes and reaches to tug my head down to her.

I close the distance and seal our lips together. I groan into her mouth as she reaches between us and palms my length. The restraint I’ve been showing for the last week breaks.

I spin and lift her into my arms to slam her against the shower wall. As I devour her mouth, I thrust into her tight heat. I growl and my eyes roll back.

“When are you moving in? I need you here with me. Our lives should always be this way. You and me together,” I breathe against her mouth as I move in and out of her tight body.

“Dylan, please,” she pants as she tightens around me.

“Are you begging me to make you mine or to make this your home?”

“Both, I want both.”

“Say no more,” I grunt as I thrust harder and pin her to the wall.

CHAPTER 24

Are You Crazy?

Ciara

This ismy third week working at the gym. Dylan and I have fallen into a routine that includes work, training, and taking care of Ciarán. We’re like a happy little family.

Dylan has continued to take Ciarán to school in the mornings even though he has to wake earlier to get Ciarán uptown in time for class. He has Booker or Aidan pick Ciarán up after school and bring him to the gym.

I was hesitant about that at first, but Taegan promised my brother would always be safe with the two and Dylan would take their heads off if anything ever happened to my brother. In her words, they are willing to die for Dylan and anyone important to him.

It’s so clear to see how important Ciarán has become to Dylan. He treats him like his own little brother. Ciarán has been so happy since we moved in with Dylan. Daliah was sad to see us go, but we text every day.

I’m excited because she’s coming by the gym today. I’ve been going through the inventory list Dylan needs while I wait for her. This time of the day tends to be quiet on a Friday. Dylan stepped out to FaceTime with his brother Cole about an hour ago.

Taegan isn’t in yet. She had to take care of some of Dylan’s other business. I smile as I think of her and look across at the little desk Dylan brought in. It was meant for me, but Taegan took it over and insisted I take Dylan’s desk.

He doesn’t need to be up here as much now that he has the two of us. He spends more time down in the gym or on the couch in here while we use the desks.

My stomach growls loudly, breaking into my thoughts. A glance at the clock tells me it’s time for my lunch break. Deciding to go out for lunch to stretch my legs, I finish what I’m working on and log out.

The portal the O’Briens have set up for all their businesses is so cool. It has a POS system, chats for everyone to communicate through and so much more I don’t even have access to.
