It’s a trick question. Don’t answer, Ruby.
“Um... I’ve never really loved the second option. So maybe the first?”
Ryker shifted back a little, studying me. Not with judgement, but curiosity. “Do you mind if I ask why?”
Noah would never have asked me a question like that so openly. He hadn’t even pressed when I replaced that part of our foreplay. He’d simply gone along with it until it eventually fell off the table altogether.
I was quickly learning that Ryker was comfortable talking about anything. Like this shift from just friends to friends who kiss... and now to friends who apparently help each other orgasm.
“It’s never really gotten me to the end,” I shyly admitted.
Beneath the covers, Ryker’s hands continued to travel over my body. Testing. Teasing. Waking me up. Every sensation in me was on hyper alert – even my toes were curling against the mattress – and he hadn’t even gotten me naked yet.
“Can I try?”
I helplessly shrugged. “I suppose.”
Ryker was incredibly competitive, and I had a feeling that trait was about to work in my favour. He ran his hand higher, deliberately applying pressure between my legs.
“I want you to tell me what does and doesn’t work for you, Ruby.”
“Okay.”
“I mean it. You won’t hurt my feelings. I want to figure you out.”
He inched closer – three inches, two inches, one inch, then less – and then his mouth closed over mine.
As I whimpered with relief, Ryker took the chance to press his tongue against mine. He was gentle yet controlling, and patient yet persistent. I was obsessed with his kisses. Though it ended all too quickly when he began trailing his lips down my body. First my neck, then my collarbone, before lifting the hoodie to kiss the bare skin around my navel.
My fingertips gripped the sheets with anticipation. Ryker had me worked up beyond reason – so much so that when he reached for my underwear, I ignored my fears about who was taking them off, and lifted my hips to help him.
Given Ryker was hidden by the blankets, I couldn’t see his reaction – but his sharp exhale against my skin told me enough. Ashe gently nudged my thighs apart, I swallowed nervously. I couldn’t believe we were doing this, but–
ThankGodwe were!
The moment his tongue made contact, an intense moan – one foreign to me – broke free, echoing in the silent room. My breath hitched as I startled, too many sensations hitting me all at once.
It felt odd to praise any God right now, but I had to give thanks to someone. Maybe it was the build up or anticipation, but this was already feeling out-of-this-world amazing.
Ryker groaned from beneath the covers. “I could do this all day.”
“I could let you do this all day.”
He chuckled before returning his mouth to the throbbing spot between my thighs. His tongue danced carefully, testing the waters.
When I began swaying against him, he matched my rhythm, reading each move I made. Normally I’d need to ease into it, but I was already so far gone I could barely see the starting line – aka thejust friendsline – anymore.
“How does this feel, Rubz?”
“Good.”
“But?” he prompted.
Of course he knew me well enough to sense there was one.
“Move your tongue a little higher.”
He took the guidance without protest or offence, shifting to the exact spot I’d been praying he’d find.
