“What’s happening?”
“Shush. Just stay.”
Tyr thought he heard “I’ll be a good puppy” when he walked out of the room, grabbing the first healer who tried to sneak past him. “When will she be ready to go?” A thumb pointed in Jace’s direction made it clear which patient he was talking about.
“She’s ready now. As the responsible party, just sign her out of the facility.”
Tyr stomped back into the room. “Let’s go.”
She stroked a hand along her body. “Clothes?”
With the doorjamb in one hand, he swung out into the hallway, shouting at the retreating healer. “She needs clothes.”
“We only carry medical gowns.”
When Tyr snarled, the nervy guy held his middle finger high.
“Fuck. Do I have to do everything?” He touched his wrist to call hisfreron.Sabine. Find her some clothes and get your ass over here with them.
The human female signaled him from the bed. “What are you doing?”
“Getting you clothes.”
“I’m particular about what I wear.”
“This should be good.”Hang on, Sabine. The princess is putting in a shopping order.
“Pants. Size six since I’ve lost weight.”
Tyr relayed the message.
“Sensible shoes. Flats. Ones I can walk in easily.”
No fuck me shoes, Sabine.“Size?”
“Eight and a half. Is it cool outside?”
He nodded. Bored with the convo.
“A sweater would be perfect. I’m tall. A medium should do. I like some color, but not too much. Does Sabine have good taste?”
“She’s a nymph. She only wears stuff showing nipples.” He relayed the information, adding,Princess wants a sweater. Medium. And tasteful shit. Conservative. Nothing like what you wear… How would I know where the fuck you should go? Do I strike you as a designer kind of guy?
Sabine’s chuckle came into his head loud and clear thanks to the D-chip.
What’s so funny?
Tyr disconnected, flinging himself into the nearby chair.
After Jace settled back against the top of the bed, she crossed her ankles. He was a sucker for long, shapely legs. Despite the formless medical gown, she was wicked shapely.
“Where am I?”
“Didn’t anybody let you know anything?”
“Nope.”
He drew a deep breath when she shot him with her siren’s smile. “You’re on Scath.”
