Christ, it was bad enough when women started to blubber, never mind men. Kneeling down, Eli started to frisk the young man. There was nothing strapped around either ankle. His hands slid up each of Burke’s calves, then his thighs. Eli couldn’t help thinking how nicely built he was. Totally unprofessional, but an unavoidable perk of his job.

His hands came up around Burke’s perfect ass and moved quickly around to his groin. There was an unexpected surprise waiting for him. Burke Sampson was hard as a rock. Interesting. “I thought you said you didn’t have any weapons on you, Burke.” Eli gave his package a completely professional squeeze. Weapons and drugs could have been hidden there with his erection to cover them up.

“That’s not a weapon,” Burke’s voice trembled. “You’re…” His voice turned into a moan when Eli squeezed him again.

“I’m what?” Eli leaned forward to whisper into Burke’s ear. Eli’s own dick was all in, pressing against his boxers and the zipper of his uniform pants begging to be freed.

“Fucking gorgeous,” Burke whispered.

Eli finished the rest of his search, all the while pondering if what Burke had said was genuine or a line the pretty boy used to get out of sticky situations. He’d said he’d known the drill. Maybe he knew it because he had a habit of seducing the cops who’d pulled him over in the past.

Grabbing his left shoulder, Eli spun the boy around. He thumped against the side of his red Ford. The bulge in his pants was huge. In the dim light, Eli would swear there was a growing dark spot in the front of his pants. He grabbed Burke’s hands in his own, holding them against the roof of the car. “You think this is some kind of game?”

“N-No, Officer Dixon. All I’ve ever wanted to be was a policeman. M-My whole life. No one else in my family has gone to college. Most have been on the other side of the law. T-That’s why I’m here.” Burke’s dark eyes turned glassy.

“To get away from them and the reputation of your name?” It wasn’t a big leap to make. Eli had done the same thing himself back in South Carolina, only for the opposite reason. He hadn’t wantedhisname to taint his family’s reputation.

Burke nodded. “If you arrest me, I lose my spot in the academy.” His dark eyes locked with Eli’s. “It’s my fault. I was stupid tonight. Put other people at risk, me, other drivers, you. I promise if you give me a second chance, I’ll make you proud.”

Elias was torn. Part of him wanted to let this boy go on his way. Give him that second chance and be done with it. The other part of him, the part that was sick and tired of these damned millennials getting away with everything, had another idea. “You’ll make me proud?” Eli took a step forward. His own straining erection brushed against Burke’s. Fuck, that felt good.

“I’ll be top of my class at the academy. The best rookie the Salem P.D. has ever seen. Me and my best friend…” Burke trailed off.

“You and your best friend, what?” Eli knew this was crazy, but he was actually interested in hearing the rest of this story.

“We push each other hard. I’m a better man because of him. Greeley was the one who helped me choose my major. We applied to the academy together.”

Motherfucker. The best friend he was talking about was Greeley Fitzgibbon. Son of Boston Police Cold Case Captain Kevin Fitzgibbon. “Where is this Greeley tonight?”

Burke sighed loudly. “At home, making better decisions than me.”

That was for fucking sure. Eli pressed forward against Burke. His cock rubbed against Eli’s thigh. A whimper escaped the boy’s lips. “Do you know what it’s like to be booked, Burke? Be perp-walked into a police station? Have your mugshot and fingerprints taken? Spend the night in the drunk tank with men who’d either be trying to have their wicked way with you or would be just as happy to kick your ass?”

“N-No.” His head shook violently side to side. It was obvious he’d never thought about the consequences of his dumbass decision to drink and drive. Why the fuck couldn’t he have called Greeley? Or Fitzgibbon? Someone in that friend group would have come and got him.

Over time Eli had been on the fringes of that group. He’d been to barbecues at Cold Case Sargent Ronan O’Mara’s house. His husband Tennyson and all of his friends down at the psychic shop were one hundred percent invested in Salem, participating in charity events, and supporting the Salem Police Department. They all loved Greeley like their own. Surely one of them would have come to Burke’s rescue. “Why didn’t you call for a ride?”

Burke took a shaky breath. “I didn’t want to bother anyone. It was only three beers. I thought I was fine.”

“But you weren’t!” Eli leaned in closer, pressing Burke more firmly against his car. Their bodies were as close as they could get. Eli could feel his heat radiating against him.He could feel Burke’s pounding heart. His red-hot erection was making the seasoned officer think thoughts he had no right thinking in this moment.

The urge to kiss the young man, who was nibbling his lower lip, was nearly overwhelming. “What would you do to make this go away?” Eli’s voice was barely above a whisper. His lips were a breath away from pressing against Burke’s. All he wanted was one taste. Just one. Standing here, nose to toes with the boy, Elias knew one taste wouldn’t be enough.

“A-Anything.” Burke’s eyes met Eli’s. “I would do anything for you.”

“Don’t you mean you’d do anything for yourself? I’m not the one in deep shit here. My dream career isn’t hanging in the balance, now, is it?” In this moment, Eli was thrilled Salem hadn’t instituted a body camera program. None of this would be happening if he’d been wired for sound and video.

“No. I mean for you. I’ll bring you lunch, wash your car, walk your dog.Anything.”His eyes pleaded with Eli’s.

Eli wasn’t stupid. He knew what that last “anything” meant. It would be so easy to tell the boy to drop to his knees and suck his cock, but Eli hated the idea of Burke getting away with this so easily. By the feel of that erection digging into his thigh, sucking Eli off wouldn’t exactly be a hardship for the boy. “You want this go away? Avoid getting booked, Burke?”

He nodded.

“My next shift starts at 10:00 p.m. tomorrow night. Be at the Salem Police Department headquarters at 9:30 p.m. You’ll be riding along with me.”

“That’s it?” Burke shifted his hips, sending his cock brushing against Eli’s. “There’s nothing else I can do for you, Officer Dixon?”

Jesus fucking Christ. Every fiber in Eli’s body wanted to take Burke up on his offer. He’d never done anything over his lengthy career in law enforcement that was against the rules. As tempting as the boy was, Eli wasn’t about to start now. “Be on time. Be polite. Learn something. That’swhat you can do for me.” Eli was about to pull away, tell the boyto grab everything he needed from his own car before Eli drove him home. But that didn’t happen. Unable to ignore the boy’s siren’s song, he surged forward, crushing his lips to Burke’s.
