"What time is it?"

"Nine-thirty."

Blinking, he glanced at the clock for confirmation. "I never sleep this late during the season. We’re always up by seven-thirty."

Slater's gaze heated. "We used a lot of energy last night. And this morning."

Warmth flushed into his cheeks. "I guess so."

"Why don't you take the shower first? I'll put in the food order."

Nodding, Noah got up and padded across the clothes-strewn floor to the bathroom. While he brushed his teeth, he heard Slater talking on the phone and smiled at the request for hot tea as well as coffee.

He was still smiling as he stepped into the shower. The hot water felt good on his muscles. Soaping up his hair, he paused as his thoughts wandered to how their relationship had changed. He'd said he was ready for that. Slater had wanted that too. Time to find out how that would be.

The bathroom door opened, followed by water running in the sink and sounds of Slater brushing his teeth. Noah rinsed his hair, wishing the suds vanishing down the drain could carry away his sudden rush of nerves.

Slater pulled back the shower curtain and climbed in. "The food should be up in half an hour."

"Sounds good. I'm starving." He stepped back to allow Slater room under the spray.

Slater was all smooth, pale skin and broad, brawny body. Like a statue carved from marble, smooth and perfect.

Silly to be nervous now, after all they'd done. He smiled and bit his lip.

As soon as Slater's hands landed on his hips, all of the noise in his brain shut down.

Slater pulled him into his arms. His head tilted down and his lips parted and Noah strained toward him. Their lips met in a slow and thorough kiss. Then Slater reached past him and drew back with a bottle of shower gel. "I thought you might want help washing your back."

Noah plucked the shampoo bottle from the shelf. "Let me do this for you first."

Red brows raised and then drew together. "I've never had someone wash my hair before."

"Add this to the list of fantasies I've had." He took his time massaging the shampoo into Slater's strands, taking care with the scalp massage. Pleasure filled him when Slater's eyes closed and he moaned and muttered how good Noah's hands felt.

As Slater rinsed the shampoo away, Noah took in the sexy muscles dripping with water and had to touch him again. He raked his hands down that sculpted torso, reveling in the way the muscles sucked in and quivered under his hands.

Slater soaped them both up, taking care over every inch of Noah. Lazy kiss followed lazy kiss as they moved together under the spray.

Noah got out first and handed a towel to Slater before grabbing one for himself. They toweled off side by side. Slater finished first and dropped his towel on the floor. He walked out of the bathroom naked, and winked at Noah over his shoulder.

Noah caught himself smiling in the mirror. Could life with Slater really be like this?

He hung the towels, then walked into the room. Slater pulled on jeans over blue and red striped boxer briefs. Their discarded clothes from the previous night still littered the floor.

The rest of his clothes were in his hotel room. Noah shook out his jeans and then sorted through Slater's suitcase for a fresh shirt and boxers.

A brisk knock sounded on the door. His gaze flew to Slater. "Room service."

Slater waved him toward the bathroom. "I'll handle it."

Back in the steamy bathroom, he tugged on the boxers and jeans, listening as Slater exchanged greetings and thanked someone for bringing up the food. The shirt, a black T-shirt emblazoned with a red superhero emblem, looked good with his tattoos. He thought Slater would approve. Inspecting himself in the mirror, he raked his fingers through his hair.

"All clear, Noah."

He exited the bathroom. The trays were on the bed they hadn't used. The bed they had used was a tangle of sheets and blankets. His body heated, both at the mess the hotel employee had seen and at the knowledge of how that mess had happened.

Slater removed the covers from the identical dishes. "Before I talk about breakfast, let me just say, you look damn good in my clothes. Now, onto breakfast. We have wholegrain toast, egg white omelets with spinach and tomatoes, turkey bacon, and two bowls of berries. Our team nutritionist would give me a gold star. Let's eat."
