It was almost lunchtime. I grabbed my discarded suit jacket from the back of my chair and headed for the stairs. There was a spring in my step to match the unusually warm weather as I walked over to the coffee shop. As soon as I entered the room, I spotted Luca. He was hard to miss wearing a hot pink shirt that hugged his chest. So, help me, but I couldn’t help but imagine peeling that shirt off, exposing what I guessed would be sensitive nipples that I couldn’t wait to tease. With my fingers and tongue.

Luca waved me over from his table. Last night and this morning, I thought I got his image down. But it was no match for the real thing. A fact my cock immediately agreed with.

We both got a ham and cheese panini and relaxed in our chairs, happy to be with each other again.

“How’s your morning been?” I asked between sips of my coffee.

“Amazing, I was given a wonderful bouquet when I arrived, thank you Niall–they’re lovely.”

“You’re welcome. I just wanted you to have a better day than yesterday.”

“Well, some parts of yesterday were okay.” Luca’s eyes seemed to burn through my clothing. Was he remembering me naked and wet? God, I hope so.

“I won’t ask which parts.” I said, trying not to smile. “Oh …. And I reported the elevator issue with facilities and found out why no one came looking for us last night.”

“Oh? This should be good.”

“Yeah, you called it with the security guard. They had an urgent situation. And got distracted from everything else because of the Water Company drilling through the power cable. I had a sign put up on the elevator this morning and had someone come look at it.”

“Well, I’m using the stairs from now on. I don’t trust it not to break down again.”

“You had a rough time and it’ll take a bit for it to go away, but I think I can make it quicker.”

“What, how?”

I kept silent for a little while, then leaned forward in my seat and whispered. “How about I meet you at the elevators before you leave and we ride down to the foyer together? That way, if anything happens, it will be to the both of us? What do you think, you game?”

I could tell from his expression that he was going to turn me down, but then he gave me a smile.

“Okay, I’ll be leaving around 6pm, I’ll be the last one here again.”

“6pm it is then.”

We ate up the last of our lunch and went back to the office, both of us taking the stairs.

Watching the other office workers leave one by one, the afternoon sped by faster than the morning. Everybody ready to get the weekend going.

When I arrived in Abbott’s reception area, Luca had already powered off his laptop and tidied up his things. I hadn’t been here since it got renovated. The finished area turned out better than I thought. But I got all the stuff Luca had mentioned. The design seemed to be more about the concept and less about how the employees would use the space. Design over practicality.

I wandered around the desks until I saw Luca. “I see the white desk is as impractical as you mentioned.”

“Yeah. They get marked up easily and the lock on the drawers is already busted.”

Wow, okay, so that wasn’t good. This interior design had been one of Geoff’s. He’d said it would be fresh, gleaming white, modern, with splashes of color in the breakout areas. But the reality was, it was cold and impersonal. After just a few months, it was already showing signs of wear. The walls had scuffs and the carpet tiles were already looking grubby.

Poor Geoff, maybe I should bring him up here to look at how well his ideal office design was working out.

“Sorry, this was my friend’s impression of the perfect office. I’ll let him know he was a little off the mark. Are you ready to go?”

“Ready as I’ll ever be.” Luca said, gathering his things.

Taking a quick look around him, double checking that he had his keys. Luca followed me towards the lobby.

I stepped forward and pressed the elevator down button. A few seconds later, the outer doors slid open to reveal the empty car.

“Shall we?” Ever the gentleman, I held my hand out to him and together we walked inside. Once the doors closed, I pushed the ‘lift hold’ button.

Luca looked at me puzzled, turning he walked right up close and tilted up his chin so that he looked directly into my eyes.
