“Fine. Donovan, go home. This is crew business,” Skeeter said in a clipped tone, but Hunter laughed.
“Nah, let the girl stay. Word on the street is that you tell her everything anyway. Don’t act all coy about it, I heard you’re in love. Congrats, brother. She must befantasticin the sack if you want to keep her.”
“How about you go and fuck yourself since it’s obvious that no one’s doing it for you,” I bit out, not liking how cocky he was.He didn’t know me at all, and it was obvious he was just trying to get a rise out of Skeeter.
“A lot of mouth for a little fucking girl. If you’re going to open your mouth, the least you can do is put my dick in it,” Hunter replied with narrowed eyes, not seeming happy that I was getting involved.
“Come over here and say it. I’ll knock your teeth down your throat,” I warned, trying to move around Skeeter, but his hand shot out to grab the back of my neck to haul me back. “I can take him on!”
“You’ll do as you're told and wait in the office for me!” Skeeter snapped, and I didn’t miss the hatred radiating out of Slash. He was pissed at me, and it only got worse when Hunter snickered.
“If you can’t control her, send her my way. I don’t mind putting her in line.”
“What the fuck are you going to do, Rivera? Talk her to death? You won’t hurt her,” Slash scoffed, and Hunter bent down to rip the tape off Lonnie’s mouth, making me wince as she started screeching.
“I didn’t tell them anything! They’re lying if they say I did! I did what you asked me to!”
Hunter’s gaze kept flicking to me, but he spoke to Slash. “Don’t listen to her. The second she was on my dick, she was putty in my hands. Don’t send desperate girls into enemy territory, they’ll say anything. She had a lot to say about Skeet and Aurora. I’m interested to know more about Liam, though. Why’d you let this bitch kill him?”
I kept my face blank, knowing this could be a trap for information, and Slash chuckled.
“What are you talking about?”
“Your spy has a tell when she lies. She said a lot, and she got all twitchy when talking about random shit. When she talkedabout Aurora and Liam though? Truth. So, why’d you let some girl kill one of your members? Word on the street is that you’re letting Skeet’s bitch join the Psychos, and she’s walking all over you.”
Skeeter’s fingers tightened around the nape of my neck as I reached for my pocket, Hunter’s eyes tracking the movement. I was only going to stab the guy a little bit.
“Office,” Skeeter said firmly in my ear, not releasing his grip on me until I agreed.
I didn’t even make it to the office door before a gunshot went off, and I spun around to find Hunter’s eyes on me, his gun still pointed at the ground where Lonnie laid. Blood pooled around her head, a shiver rolling through me as Hunter slid his gaze to Slash and spoke.
“We know you wouldn’t send someone important into our crew. You know we’re smarter than to believe her bullshit. Next time you want someone eliminated, do it yourself. I love how you thought I’d just kill her and clean up the mess though.”
A lump formed in my throat as I watched the steady trickle of blood run down the back of Lonnie’s head, my chest tightening as a memory of Liam flickered in my mind. I took a deep breath, not wanting to put myself into a panic.
My eyes lifted to find Marco staring at me blankly, waiting to see how I’d react to them murdering someone right in front of me.
When I didn’t run away screaming, his gaze dropped from my face to study the rest of me, and I quickly flipped him off and ducked into the office to shut the door behind me, needing his eyes off me.
Skeeter
Violence swam through my veins as Hunter and Marco stood in front of me, rage clouding my vision. It was bad enough that they’d just waltzed through my damn door without a single care in the world, but the fact that they both knew about Rory and seemed interested in her just pissed me the fuck off.
They’d have more of their men outside, I wasn’t stupid, but it was tempting to just kill them both and deal with the fallout later.
“What’s the deal with you and the Donovan girl?” Marco asked once his eyes were finally off my girl, curiosity in his tone.
“None of your business. Tell us why you’re here,” I gritted out through clenched teeth, making Hunter huff.
“Lots of shit. I intended on killing your girl, but she’s kind of pretty. Maybe I’ll just take her for a ride on my cock instead.”
He was so full of shit. Hunter wouldn’t kill her just to piss me off, his conscience wouldn't allow it. Despite him being pissed at her for her attitude, he was too intrigued by her, which wasn’t exactly good, but it would keep her alive.
Marco was just as bad because that piece of shit would draw her in just to break her. He’d lure her in with a false sense of security, fuck her until he was bored, then stab her in the back.
I knew these guys like the back of my hand, and neither had good intentions towards Rory.
If they thought they could swoop in and take her from me, they had another thing coming. She was mine, and there was nothing they could do to make her turn on me.
