“Yeah, he’s used to it. Pretty sure Clive is just avoiding the office for a day or two. He fucks half the staff then acts surprised when it doesn’t end well,” he said dryly, glancing at his phone to text.

Tyler’s fingers ran up and down my arm, occasionally moving to my hair to play with it while his other hand stayed in mine. He seemed jittery, which wasn’t exactly abnormal for him, but getting high at school was strange.

When Caden left the room to call Josie, I peered up at Tyler. “Something on your mind?”

“Only your pussy.”

“Be serious. Talk to me,” I said softly, lifting our joined hands so I could kiss his knuckles.

“My dad texted me today,” he sighed, pulling his phone out to show me.

Sperm donor: Happy Birthday.

Tyler hadn’t replied, and I frowned. “It’s your birthday?”

That made him snort, and he shoved his phone back into his pocket. “No, it’s not. My birthday was six months ago. Seventeenth of April. He also wished me a happy birthday in February, but not on my actual birthday.”

“They don’t matter, Ty. Your real friends and family would’ve been there, right?” I asked carefully, a small smile tugging at his mouth.

“Yeah. Josie took us all out for dinner and got me a cake. It was nice. Then we threw a massive party and got drunk at my place.”

Josie really was the best.

“Next time come and find me instead of getting high by yourself. We can get high together and fuck for the rest of the day,” I offered, giving him a quick kiss.

“You’d definitely make me forget about all my problems,” he chuckled, reaching out to pull my face closer for another kiss.

His fingers ran through my hair as he teased my lips with his tongue, a sound of relief leaving him when I opened for him. He wasn’t in a hurry, it was like he just needed my touch to ground himself.

My palm moved to his tented pants, and he thrust against my hand as I stroked him through the material, my teeth nipping his bottom lip gently.

“Don’t move,” I ordered quietly, making him chuckle.

“Don’t have to tell me twice, babe. Whatever this is, I’m rolling with it.”

I moved to the floor and got to my knees, unbuttoning his pants to pull his dick out, and his breath hitched as I stroked him in my fist and licked the tip. His eyes closed and his head dropped back on the couch as I pushed him down my throat, a soft curse leaving him.

When his fingers moved to my hair, I didn’t stop him, letting him have some control since he wasn’t being rough. My ribs hurt at this angle, but I’d put up with it for him if it cleared his mind for a few minutes.

I gagged, his hips bucking slightly as his fingers tightened in my hair, and I let him fuck my mouth until he was forcinghimself deep to finish. I tried not to show my discomfort, but I obviously didn’t hide it well enough when he looked down at me and his face fell slightly.

“Shit, did I hurt you?”

“No, it’s fine. I’m just aching from the suicides today,” I replied, and he leaned forward to give me a kiss.

“Sorry. You didn’t have to do that.”

“Did it help?”

“Absolutely.”

“Then it was worth it,” I smiled, getting to my feet and realizing Caden was standing in the doorway. He was studying me, and part of me wondered if he knew about my ribs, but when I walked past to get a drink, he silently kissed my temple and rejoined Tyler on the couch, not saying anything.

Tyler

Nightmares plagued me, and I woke with a jerk, my breathing loud in the silent room. The clock on the bedside table said it was almost five in the morning, and I startled when a warm hand slid up my chest.

“Ty?” Rory mumbled, reminding me that she’d climbed into bed with me last night.
