“What’s up, my lil’ man or lil’ baby? It’s your daddy. I love you.” He spoke to my stomach and kissed it, causing tears to fill my eyes. He lifted his head and peered at me. “Do you think they can hear me?”

I shrugged since I didn’t know. “Hopefully, they can.”

He continued to rub my stomach gently. I wanted to feel this every single day.

“Start reading to me,” he stated, letting out a yawn. “Oh damn, it better not put me to sleep.”

I giggled. “There you go, already trying to go to sleep, and I haven’t started reading yet.”

He chuckled and snuggled deeper into my pussy and wrapped his arms around my waist. “Oh well. I’m comfortable and content where I’m at. Damn, you smell good.”

I had to bite my tongue to keep from letting Melijah know I tasted even better. I respected him even more for wanting to be a gentleman, but it felt like I died without getting some of his dick. I wanted him so badly. It was the way he had his arms wrapped around me. I had never felt as secure as I did right now.

Later that evening, Melijah had me on his boat, a boat I didn’t know he owned until we were outside his parents’ house. I didn’t get to meet them since they weren’t home, but they had a big ass lake behind their house. All I saw was water, and I tried not to get seasick. I had to keep taking deep breaths so I wouldn’t vomit all over the place. I had to keep fanning myself. I could get through this. With it being in the middle of December, I was glad the weather wasn’t too bad. He had the boat warm and cozy, too.

He sat down next to me, holding a glass of fruit punch in his hand, which he handed to me. “Are you good? You don’t look too hot.”

I took a sip of the punch. “I’ve never been on a boat before. It’s a little unsettling.”

He frowned. “Damn, my bad. I should’ve asked how you’d feel. If the sickness continues, we can leave.”

I shook my head, not wanting that to happen. “No, it should be fine. Maybe it’ll go away.”

I wanted to spend time with him on his boat, so hopefully, the feeling went away.

He nodded. “Just let me know. This is what I do in my spare time. With it being December and cold, I don’t get to take my baby out as often as I’d like. Since it wasn’t too cold tonight, I wanted you to see her.”

I lifted a brow. “Her?”

Melijah smirked, dipping his head. His dreads were in a ponytail when I wanted him to let them down. He said it got too aggravating, so I had a feeling he’d be cutting them soon.

“Yeah. This boat was a birthday present my parents bought me for my thirtieth birthday. They knew how much I loved going fishing. I’d travel and take her with me if I knew water would be near.”

I frowned. “But you have a small car.”

He laughed. “It’s not my only car, baby. I don’t drive my truck unless I’m traveling. That’s why when I meet new people, they’re surprised too. I’m a very private person unless I let you in.”

We shared an intense look. “Are you saying you’re letting me in?”

Melijah lifted a brow. “Do you want to be let in?”

I frowned. “Of course, I want to be. What kind of question is that?”

He shrugged. “I was just asking. But yeah, you’re in. I’m not letting you go either.”

I beamed and shoulder bumped him. “Good. You’d better not. I can get violent.”

He laughed. “Yeah, a’ight. That’s something I got to see. Where is she at?”

I took a sip of my drink with a smirk on my face. “Keep asking for it and watch you get it.”

He stood up, shaking his head. “I’m going to go finish cooking. Once everything is done, we can eat.”

“I can’t wait to eat.”

While he did that, I opened my Kindle and continued reading the book I had started that morning. Melijah didn’t get past the first page before he drifted to sleep, holding on to me.

Fifteen minutes later, Melijah had me setting the table. I had never set a table before. This was new to me, so I hoped I had it right. Melijah came back carrying bowls of food that smelled amazing. My stomach growled, letting me know it was time for me to eat.
