“I know where I want to go now.”

“Okay. Where?”

“I want some pizza, and maybe we can do Dave & Buster’s. Since they had opened up in Skyeville, I haven’t checked it out yet.”

I loved going to arcades when I was in college. Since I hadn’t gotten to do a lot as a child, I made up for it when I was older. I enjoyed winning tickets and could get competitive. Melijah needed to know what he was doing if he challenged me to a game.

“Word. We can do that.”

“Yes!” If I could have jumped up and down, I would have.

After we were done getting dressed, he wanted to take pictures together. We posed different ways before I told him that was enough.

“Let’s head out.”

We made our way out of Melijah’s apartment and to his car. As soon as we got in, he blasted the music, causing me to shake my head. I turned it down a bit, and he gave me the side-eye.

“Why did you do that?”

“It doesn’t need to be up that loud. As soon as MJ hears the music, he begins to move around in my stomach, which hurts.”

He chuckled. “He might be a dancer or play soccer. You never know.”

I rolled my eyes. “That’s not funny.”

He pressed his lips together and looked straight ahead. We rode the rest of the ride in silence, so I ended up falling asleep.

When we arrived at the pizza place, there were only a few cars in the parking lot. This was good for me since we could get our food quicker. MJ had me eating so much.

Melijah and I walked into the restaurant and took a glance around. Nobody was there to greet us. I hated it when that happened, especially when the restaurant was empty.

Someone soon came rushing from the back with an apologetic smile on her face.

“I’m so sorry for the wait. Please follow me to your table.”

We followed behind her and took our seats when she stopped at the table. She set down two menus and wrapped silverware.

“Someone will be at your table shortly.” She walked away in a hurry.

Melijah grunted and buried his head in the menu. I picked mine up and scanned it too. I could eat an entire large pizza by myself if I wanted to. The pepperoni and bacon pizza looked so good.

The server arrived, and we placed our drink and food orders. Once she left, Melijah pulled out his cell phone.

“I’m going to post some of these pictures on my page.”

I nodded. “That’s fine with me.”

When Melijah first posted me on his social media, I was a little hesitant about it. I wasn’t a big fan of social media, and many people knew me as a lawyer. But surprisingly, many people said we made a cute couple. Now, every chance he got, he posted pictures of me.

“Aye, Denver was wondering if I could stop by Skylar’s house after our date.” Melijah stared at me, putting the phone on the table.

I shrugged. “Yeah, I’m fine with that.”

He picked up his phone and typed on it. I pulled my phone out as well and opened Candy Crush. Both of us were so engrossed in our phones that we hadn’t noticed when the server returned to the table. She set our food in front of us. Melijah’s pasta looked so good that it had my mouth watering. I gazed at my pizza, but it didn’t make my mouth water as the pasta did.

“Are you sharing?” I asked Melijah. I had my own food, but his pasta was calling out to me.

“Yeah, I got you. Do you want some now? Will you share your pizza with me?”
