Epilogue
Wren

One year later…
“Naughty kitten, you’ve had me six times already,” Adam laughed, taking hold of me and pulling me into his lap.
“And yet I want more, Mr. Delicious,” I wrapped my arms around his neck.
We were in Paris again, at the chateau— this time for our honeymoon. It seemed fitting— the perfect place to celebrate the beautiful and truly magical year we’d spent with each other.
“Wren, we can’t stay in bed all day,” he teased, tracing kisses down the side of my neck.
“Why not?” I laughed. We had the same argument every time.
“Because I want to have dinner with my beautiful wife. We already missed our reservation at L'Abeillelast night.” He tweaked my nose playfully, and I giggled at the memory of last night.
While honeymooning here, we were trying to relive our first trip in full detail, which meant dinner at L'Abeille at the Shangri La—except we didn’t make it.
It was my fault for showing him the lingerie I’d brought along with me.
We’d only left the house to return again and we were still here.
“Okay, let’s go,” I agreed with a little pout.
“Wren, you’re supposed to sound more enthusiastic than that,” he chided, pulling on my bra strap. “But…If you’re insisting we stay in bed, I’m not going to complain about that.”
He smiled that gorgeous smile that still filled my stomach with butterflies.
“Yayyy. But…” I pressed my nose to his. “Let’s still plan to relive our first date at some point because if I remember correctly, I get to have you six times when we get back home.” I gave him a saucy look which I knew he appreciated.
“Yes, your memory is definitely right. Come here.” He crooked his finger and beckoned me to his lips for a kiss that told me repeatedly how much he wanted me.
Adam had taken me to some amazing places and took the very best care of me; working my fingers to the bone and worrying about debt were all a thing of the past.
As was Billy. Billy went to prison for his part in not only scamming people but getting mixed up in drug and sex trafficking. The day I found out who he truly was, was the day I rejoiced for how things turned out.
Being with Adam, for me, was heaven. He was everything and more and we had a happy life together.
When we were in Chicago, he made sure that me being at the coffeehouse was just about enjoying what I had and the dream I saw when I’d first set up the place. When I wasn’t there, I was always with him. Whether that was at our home or going to some island for an adventure.
Wherever we were, I always felt his love.
“I love you, Wren,” he whispered against my lips.
“I love you, too, Adam.” I kissed him again to seal my words, feeling grateful that I finally had all I ever wanted and the love of a man who was my everything.
My Mr. Delicious.
