I turned and walked over to lay Grace in her arms. “You did good, mama.” I kissed her forehead. “I thought you were sleeping.”
“I was.” She admitted.
“I’m going to leave you guys to it.” I told them. “Anything you want me to grab on my way back?”
“Chocolate.” Chelsea told me. “Lots and lots of chocolate.”
Demon laughed.
After hugs all around, I walked from the room. As I made myself through the waiting room, Nella called my name.
“I’m sorry.” She told me.
“A little too late.” I replied.
I left then.
