We stayed in Draycott Cove a little longer than we had planned. Since Nella wouldn’t start working with Chelsea until after maternity leave, and I didn’t have another job for another month, it wasn’t a problem. Nella even dragged me into a photoshoot with her with Thandie Hornsby.

I held out no hope the pictures would turn out—I didn’t see my self as particularly good-looking. I knew I’d definitely spoil them for her.

Still, I did it without complaining because I was in love with her. I was in the middle of speaking with my agent when Nella screamed and came dashing into the office. I turned from the view of the ocean to see her waving a large, leather portfolio at me.

“Harry, let me call you back.” I told him. “My girl just came into the office and she’s very excited.”

“How much money is that going to cost you?”

I laughed. “Not sure yet.”

“Talk soon.” Harry chuckled and hung up.

I sent my phone on the desk and walked around to lean my ass against it. It was so good seeing her happy. It was almost as if she was glowing.

Slowly, she approached me with the leather bound extended. With an arched eyebrow, I accepted it, set it on the desk and zipped it open. I flipped through the pictures, marveling at how beautiful she looked.

“I love these.” I told her, tapping a nail against one where I was dressed in a suit and all she had on was a G-String. She had her chest pressed to mine as she looked over a shoulder, coyly. “I’m also obsessed with your ass.”

Nella blushed and reached in to tun the page.

This picture had her leaning her back into my chest, her arms crossed over he beautiful breasts with her face turned toward my neck. I allowed my eyes to travel the curve of her body, the small scar against her right arm, and the roundness of her belly-button.

“You don’t look half bad yourself.” Nella kissed me. “I enjoyed doing this with you, for you.”

“For me?

Nella reached over and opened the second half of the portfolio. These pictures were a lot more risqué. Most of them she was completely naked.

“You’re trying to kill me.” I panted.

Nella giggled. “No one else sees these.”

“I don’t want another man seeing you like this—ever.” I closed the portfolio and drew her into my arms. “I’m home right here.”

“In my arms?”

“Yes.” Kid replied, nuzzling my throat with his nose and lips. “I’m going to hold onto you—last chance to run.”

Nella lifted her head and smiled brightly up at me. She played with the collar of my shirt then met my gaze. “I tried running, remember? I find I don’t like being away from you. The thought of another woman being with makes me angry. No, Ronan, you have to be mine.”

“In that case, are you asking me out, Nella Ortiz?”

She giggled. “I’m asking you to be my man.”

“So much better.” Nella snuggled into my chest. “So—so much better.”

“I love you.” I confessed, turning her head and tipping her chin up. “Every part of you. And one day—one day soon, I’m going to ask to change your name and you’ll have to says yes.”

“I have to?”

“Yes, Nella.” I brushed my lips down between her eyes to the tip of her nose to leave a kiss there. “Because I gave you a chance to run. You said you were ready for this—for me.”

She laughed. “I’m a big girl, Ronan. I can take whatever you can give me.”

“Good.”

I sighed and bowed my head to kiss her.
