“Come here.” I hustle him over to the bench I sat on earlier, and he gasps when I pull him onto my lap.

“That’s nice,” he murmurs as he nuzzles into me.

“This is nicer.”

I brush my lips over his, and Cosmo sighs as he loops his arms around my neck and eases in closer. His lips are warm and pliant and they loosen, allowing me to seek the heated wetness of his mouth.

We take our time. The kiss is long and lazy, sweet and delicious, with a hint of something strong and heady, like a dash of spice in creamy hot chocolate.

The sound of the party has faded to nothing, the night time noise of the city is no more than a memory. All that exists is this moment, and this man in my arms.

I cup my palms to his face, holding him steady as I tilt my head and deepen the kiss. Our tongues twist and turn against each other’s, not in a fight for dominance but in a rhythmic, undulating dance. All around us the air is filled with our sighs and moans, gasping breaths and whimpers. We break for air. Cosmo’s breathing hard and, under the clear moonlight, his lips are swollen, bruised, and damp. His eyes are huge; he’s disorientated and undone, and all I want to do is undo him some more.

I tease his lower lip, lapping along its plumpness, before I catch it between my teeth, stretching it out before I let go, but I don’t give him time to catch his breath before I once more crush my lips to his.

Cosmo scrubs his fingers through the short hair at the nape of my neck. I gasp and jerk. It’s a searing bolt of electricity, shooting from the bottom of my spine all the way up to my scalp. He laughs into my mouth, low and rumbly, sending heat across my skin and blood to my dick. Somewhere along the line, he’s taken control but I don’t care, because this is all there is, this is all I want…

This man, this moment, this kiss.

This perfect connection.

A peel of laughter, and voices coming closer, pierce the bubble that has been us. We ease apart, both of us panting hard. I blink, and look back towards the house. A knot of people stand half way along the garden, drinking from bottles. Little pinpricks of light glow in the darkness, and the faint aroma of weed drifts on the breeze. Out on the street, a siren screams by, followed closely by another. The outside world is rushing to greet us.

“Daniel?”

Cosmo’s voice is far away, small and weak. I turn from everything that doesn’t matter, to everything that does.

Beautiful. The word fills my head as it fills my heart. Beautiful, because that’s what Cosmo is.

“So my man likes to make out al fresco, does he? I’ll have to remember that.” There’s a smile on Cosmo’s lips, and in his voice.

“Your man, eh?”

“Yes, my man.”

He slips from my lap and holds his hand out to me. I take it without a second thought, and let him lead me back to the house.

My man.

The two small words fill my heart, taking up every inch of space. I like it. I like it a lot.

My man.
