“I’m fine. Honest. A shower, because well…” He looked down at his cum-splattered stomach.
They were both a mess. The thought of a long hot shower with Eli was waking his dick up, but it wasn’t what Eli needed right now.
“Sure. And then I’m putting you to bed.”My bed.
Eli nodded, his face wreathed in a soft smile as though he’d heard Grey’s silent words.
CHAPTERTWENTY
Grey peeled open his eyes and blinked into the bright light flooding the bedroom. The partially open curtains revealed a blue sky with not a snow cloud to be seen. His limbs were floppy and relaxed, the tension that had been the backdrop to his daily life for months on end all melted away to nothing. Life felt good, the days and weeks and months which lay ahead of him were as clear and bright as the blue winter sky. Gazing down at the reason for his new found optimism, a soft smile lifted his lips that could, maybe, be called sappy. But he had a lot to be sappy about.
Curled into Grey’s side, Eli had slung one leg over Grey. Eli’s lips puffed open, then closed, and opened again with each even breath. Grey couldn’t pull his gaze away. With his dark auburn hair messy and ruffled, and the hint of scruff shadowing his jaw, Eli was stunning. There was no other word, or not unless gorgeous, beautiful and adorable were added into the mix to make the complete and perfect whole.
Eli shifted, his morning wood pressing into Grey’s thigh. A spear of desire shot through Grey, and his own dick, still a little sleepy, perked into life as his thoughts turned to breakfast which didn’t include tea and toast. Eli murmured in his sleep, the words soft and smudged, and Grey bit down on the groan as his dick begged for attention. Eli shifted again, releasing his hold on Grey, who slipped from the bed. He stared down at his dick, flushed and pulsing, the head slick with pre-cum, primed and ready for action. He curled his palm around himself, drawing in a sharp breath as his whole body convulsed in a nerve tingling shiver. Breakfast, of the most mouth watering and delicious kind which would leave them sated… But maybe not this morning, as he padded to the en-suite leaving Eli to sleep.

“Morning.”
Grey looked up from his laptop, which he’d set up on the kitchen table. Eli stood in the doorway, dressed in jeans and the soft dark green jumper, one of the two Grey had insisted they buy. He shuffled from foot to foot as though unsure, doubting his welcome on the morning after the night before.
No way was Grey going to leave Eli wondering.
“Hey, you.” Grey smiled, but that wasn’t hard to do when Eli was around. “How’s the bruise?”
Eli came and sat down at the table. “Not too bad, considering. It received some very special TLC last night.” Eli glanced away as two deep red patches coloured his cheeks, but he was smiling and that was all that mattered.
“Nothing wrong with TLC, Eli.” Grey’s heart banged against his ribs. He had all the TLC in the world to give to the adorable, gorgeous man who needed it more than he knew.
“No, there isn’t… Sometimes it’s nice to just…” Eli frowned, biting down on his lower lip as he struggled to put his thoughts into words.
I can give you all the TLC you want, Eli…
The idea, that had hooked itself into Grey and refused to let go, had taken shape in little more than an hour. The words tingling on his tongue were madness, and an outrage to his ordered, logical brain. But as Grey’s gaze followed Eli as he moved across the kitchen and flicked the switch on the kettle as though he did it every day, it wasn’t his rational brain that had made its wants known loud and clear.
Grey closed down his laptop, pushed it aside, and glanced out through the glass doors leading into the garden. There had been another heavy load of snow dumped overnight, and it glittered and glimmered under the bright winter sun, making the world feel pristine and new. They had the whole day in front of them, a day that had the power to make their lives just as pristine and new, too.
Back at the table, Eli took a sip of tea and sighed. “The first cuppa of the day. Pure bliss.”
“It’s even better when somebody else makes it. Do you want breakfast?”
“I can cook for us, I’m more than happy to. There’s bacon and eggs in the fridge.” Eli jumped up, coming to an abrupt halt when Grey spoke.
“No, that’s not what I mean. Let’s go out. There’s a place nearby, a deli with a café. You’ll like it.”
“That sounds lovely.” Eli cocked his head to the side, his face thoughtful. “When I’m sorted in the New Year, I’m going to treat you to dinner. It’ll all be on me. As long as it’s Nando’s.”
“Nando’s?” Grey raised a brow.
“Yep, you can’t go wrong with spicy chicken and chips.” Eli laughed. “But I’m serious. Okay?”
Grey smiled, but said nothing. Eli raced from the room, his tea forgotten, the thump of his feet on the stairs no match for the thump in Grey’s heart.

With two days to go before Christmas Day, Lulu’s Café and Deli was doing brisk business, everybody letting somebody else take the strain of cooking in the final run-up to the big day.
“This is great.” Settling into his seat, Eli’s face lit up as he looked around the café.
