She grins as she looks at the image. “Yeah. We really do.”

Closing the door to my apartment, I lean against it with a happy sigh. My whole body aches from the workout Carter put me through, and I’m exhausted from lack of sleep, but I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. Those people who say you don’t need a man to make you happy have never met a man like Carter Reeves.
Since we both have to do some work today, we have plans to meet up for dinner then he wants me to spend the night at his place. I’m so excited I could burst.
Texting Georgia to let her know I’m home, I leave my phone on the table then head for the bathroom to take a long hot shower to work some of the kinks out of my muscles. I’ve always said that if you see me running, I’m being chased, but sexercise is an activity I can get into.
By the time I’ve showered and dressed, I’m feeling ready for a nap. But there is work to do and bills to be paid, so I head into the kitchen and start the coffee just as Georgia lets herself into the apartment.
“Tell me everything, girl! I’ve been dying ever since we left you at the hotel. Then I get a notification this morning saying you posted and there’s akissing picwith ‘BAE’ as the caption. What happened?” Her voice gets higher and higher with every word she speaks.
I can’t even downplay the grin on my face. “He loves me.”
“Whaaa?” Her eyes clearly bug out of her face. “Helovesyou? After aday?”
“I know,” I sigh. “It’s crazy. It’s sudden. It’s over the top. But, Georgia, I love him too. I’ve never felt this amazing before.”
“That’s, ah, great, babe. I mean, as long as you’re not running off and getting married or something crazy like getting pregnant right away.”
“No,” I say immediately, deciding to keep the unprotected sex part to myself. It's not that we’re actively trying, it’s just that we’re willing to roll the dice and see what happens because we believe in what we are to each other.
“Well, in that case, I’m overwhelmingly happy for you.” She reaches out and gives me a tight hug. “You deserve a man who’s as beautiful as you are.”
“Thank you. It feels like a fairy tale.” I sigh again as we release each other. “I have to keep pinching myself to make sure I’m not dreaming.”
“When are you seeing him again?” She sits on my kitchen stool as I turn and grab mugs to our our coffee in.
“Tonight. He’s taking me to his favorite restaurant. An official date before I go to his place and don’t sleep again.” My cheeks heat at the thought of another night in his arms.
“How exciting. I’ll need some photos of you two on the town, so lots of selfies. Show the girls out there that dreams of hot guys are as attainable as any.”
“No more settling for second best, ladies. You deserve it all,” I say, taking a mouthful of dark brown life-giving elixir. Coffee is everything—after Carter, of course.
Georgia lifts her mug to her lips. “That should definitely be in today’s post. And I have a few shots from the photo shoot yesterday that I want you to look at. I spoke to Saffron, and she’s putting some footage she took in her story today. She’ll be tagging you on all her social media.”
“I feel so bad that I didn’t talk to her much. I love her books.”
“It’s OK. She’s ecstatic about the photos and she even gave me a signed book for you. She said she’d call you soon to take you out to lunch. She’s thrown her entire plot out the window and wants to base her book on you and Carter.”
“Seriously?” I grin.
“She’ll embellish, of course. But you both definitely inspired her.”
I release a giggle. “That’s so cool.”
“Right? So cool.” She places her mug back on the counter. “I actually have the book in my car. Give me a sec and I’ll grab it for you.” She gets up and heads out of the apartment with her car keys in hand.
With my coffee in hand, I move to the dining table and pick up my cell, swiping it open and clicking on the Instagram icon. I want to look at the photo Carter took this morning. My notifications have blown up, and I smile to myself, happy that we’re getting so much love from our followers. Scrolling through, I like comment after comment of people posting, ‘OMG! I’m so happy for you guys!??’ and‘Yass queen! You deserve this!’ Or ‘curvy girls for the win??’. It warms my heart and makes me sigh like I’m the princess in a Disney movie.
But then my smile falls.
‘Why the hell would a guy like him want someone like you?’
‘Are you serious? He chose you when he could have had someone like me? That’s crazy.’
‘@CarterReedOfficial you could do better’
