There’s something about seeing the woman of your desires on her knees and open-mouthed as you spill your seed just for her. It makes a man come hard.
“You are so fucking perfect for me, Clementine,” I say, pulling her to her feet as she swallows it down. I pull her against me and run my thumb over her lips before I dip my head and kiss her in a clash of teeth and tongues.
With my hands moving down her slick body, I take a hold of her thighs and heft her against the wall, driving my still-hard length inside her and pumping as she clings to me and moans.
“Tell me you’ll park your van at my place from now on,” I grunt, pivoting in and out of her, rolling my hips at the base to grind my pelvis against her clit. She cries out.
“Yes. Yes, I will.”
“Promise me you’ll stay.”
“I’ll stay.”
“Promise, Sugar. I need to know you’re mine. I need to know you’re in this as much as I am. If you need to travel, then fuck, I’ll go with you. Just promise me I’ll never find you packin’ up your van and trying to leave without me.”
“I…I… Ipromiiiiiiissssssee!!”she screams, her head flying back and thumping against the wall as she comes around me. I love the feel of her tight walls squeezing my cock, and it’s only a couple more pumps before I’m letting go too.
“I love you. So fucking much,” I rasp out, my face in her neck as my feelings overwhelm me once again. I’ve never felt this intensely connected to another person, and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to keep it that way.
“Are you sure, though?” she asks with a gasp, her fingers sliding into my wet hair.
I slowly pull out of her and lower her feet to the ground. “What do you mean, am I sure?”
A sudden look of vulnerability crosses her features as she steps under the shower stream and lets the water flow over her face and obscure her features. I turn and grab hold her of hips, pulling her back toward me so I can see her properly.
“Clementine. Talk to me.” I loop my hands about her waist and pin her close to me, trying to reassure her that I don’t ever want to let her go.
“I just meant what I said—are yousure?I mean, I know we’ve been having an amazing time together, but are you sure you’re not just getting caught up in the romance of finding someone?”
My brow knits tightly. “Is that what you think this is? Is it how it is for you?”
“No.” She looks down and circles my rose again. “For me, this is very real. But it’s scary too. What if we go all in with this and it turns out we’re wrong? What if you invite me into your life and after a while you regret it? Like, you have no idea how bad my food allergies get when I accidentally eat the wrong thing.”
He shrugs. “I’ll carry an EpiPen wherever we go.”
“It’s not the deathly kind of allergy. It’s the kind of allergy that makes me all phlegmy and then sends me running to the toilet. It can get pretty gross. I’m talking gas, bloating, and I make these throat noises until the Benadryl kicks in. You might want a hazmat suit just to be in the same room as me. And that’s not including the constant effort trying to find food outlets that accommodate me. You can probably tell based on the size of me that I love my food, but even I wanna quit trying sometimes. The world is full of stomach-cramp-inducing foods.”
“OK. I can see this is a concern for you. But I think I may have a way to alleviate some of your stress.”
“How?”
The smile I’m fighting kicks up the side of my mouth before I can get the words out. “By breaking wind first,” I say, seconds before letting the giant fart I’ve been holding in since dinner last night rip in the confines of the shower. It echoes off the walls and thankfully doesn’t smell too bad, but by the look on Clementine’s face, I don’t know if my idea was brilliant or terrible. Until she starts laughing uncontrollably and a little toot comes out her rear end too. And if ever I needed a sign from the universe that this woman and I are meant to me, laughing over shower farts is it.
CLEMENTINE
“Good afternoon!” I say cheerily as I push through the front door of Serenity’s yoga studio. She’s in the foyer resting an elbow on the reception desk while animatedly talking to a handful of women. Some I know from the wedding, and others I haven’t seen before. I’m guessing by the dewy look of their skin that they've all just finished a class.
“Clem!” Serenity quickly excuses herself and rushes over to help me with the boxes I'm carrying. “Are these the candles?”
“They sure are,” I say as we set both boxes on the counter, the jars make a clunking sound as we get them in position. “I've given you a box of relaxation candles and a box of the Whisper Valley special. I made more, but Rafe is going to help me put a website together so I can sell them online.”
Serenity's eyes get wider as her smile gets bigger. And it doesn't take a genius to guess why. Especially when both Jade and Yvette rush over, their shoes squeaking from the rapid movement.
“Did it happen?” Jade asks, grabbing my bicep. “Please tell me it happened.”
Serenity and Yvette both laugh at their sister-in-law. “Don’t get too freaked out by our over-zealous friend here,” Yvette says as she rests a kind hand on Jade’s shoulder. “Anything to do with the soulwink validates her completely.”
Jade straightens herself and releases my arm. “That's because I love love,” she says, clasping her hands in front of her chest and getting a faraway dreamy expression on her face. “After meeting Kellen and experiencing that beautiful feeling of completeness meeting your soulmate brings...” she lets out a sigh and meets my eyes again. “I just want to believe that this place is as magical as it feels, you know?”
