Not that it's been a secret, but we don't advertise it, either.

Quite a few girls are wearing our jerseys, huddled together by the bar. When we step inside, it's impossible not to miss their heated stares as they sip their girly drinks by the bar.

"Fans?" Charlotte says, noticing the girls. She doesn't appear the least bit intimidated, but they also haven't brazenly stalked over and asked for our numbers yet.

Give it five minutes, tops.

Jasper chuckles, overhearing Charlotte's question. "More like puck bunnies."

Amber swats him on the arm. "They could just really like hockey," she says. "Just because they're wearing a jersey, doesn't mean they'd sleep with every hockey player on the team."

"Yeah, zero chance of that happening since I'm taken," Jasper says, pulling Amber tighter into his arms. Their lips meet, and I glance away, gesturing for the waitress to bring us a bucket of beers as we grab our seats at the table.

Usually, their displays of affection don't typically irritate me, but right now, I don't want to watch them making out at the bar. I shift in my seat, turning my back to the two of them and giving my undivided attention to Charlotte.

She grins. "You two lovebirds are gross. Get a room!" she jokes. "I feel like I need popcorn. Something I can throw at them to interrupt their little love session."

At least we're on the same page.

"I can give you my shoe," I say with a straight face.

Laughter bubbles up from her chest, her cheeks red. "Tempting, Reece."

I quirk a smile, liking the sound of my name on her lips, even if it's my surname. "Not into big public displays of affection?" I ask.

"Yes and no. Not for making out," she explains, "but proposals, yes."

"Proposals," I repeat. "Are you like an expert in that or something? Have a lot of guys proposing to you?" I'm teasing her, but I can't help but feel the pit of my stomach churn at the hint of jealousy brewing to the surface.

Charlotte laughs. "No, but I do tend to be the friend guys go to, to help arrange their girlfriend's proposals."

"Seriously, that's a thing?" Jasper asks.

"Yeah, my cousin and her best friend, both of their husbands came to me before they got engaged. The girls wanted big proposals, with their names and pictures on the jumbotron at a hockey game."

"And you have the connections to do that?" I ask.

"Something like that." She shrugs and reaches for a beer when the waitress brings over a bucket. "Have either of you ever proposed to a girl?" Charlotte asks us.

Amber raises a curious eye. "Yeah, Jasper, have you ever proposed to a girl?"

I laugh, sensing that he could easily be in for a world of trouble tonight if he answers wrongly.

"Never," Jasper says, "I only have eyes for you, baby." He's staring at Amber and pulls her to sit on his lap. There's not much room on the chairs, but they make do.

"And what about you?" Charlotte asks, waiting for me to answer her question.

I laugh and grab a beer. "Can't say that I have." Although the thought of proposing to Jasmine had been fleeting, it certainly crossed my mind. It's for the best that I didn't, given the fact that she cheated on me.

Charlotte looks dynamite wearing my jersey. It's hard for me to tear my gaze away from her for even an instant.

"See something you like?" she asks cheekily, tilting her head and smiling up at me.

I like that she isn't shy. There's a brazenness to her that's hot as hades, and I can't wait to tear off her clothes and bring her back to my place.

Growling, I stand, grabbing her hips and pulling her against me.

"I'm going to lose my seat," she whines, but there's a smile on her lips, and somehow, I don't think that she cares about her seat.
