“I’m not yours, Casper. If you insist on using violence and control to have me, I never will be.”
Overwhelmed by the myriad emotions that gripped me, I turned on a heel and stormed away. I half expected Casper to follow. To plead his case. When he let me go instead, I was crushed with bitter disappointment.
When he came on strong like that, my initial reaction was to push back. To run away. Now I was disappointed and confused. I knew what Casper was capable of. I’d watched him kill without hesitation or remorse. Still, he’d shown me a softer side. There was more to him.
What did I want from Casper? Did I want all of him or only the parts that felt safe? I wished I knew.
CHAPTER SIXTEEN
CASPER
Watching Luna take off tested me in every way. I wanted so desperately to go after her. To stop her and make her see things my way. She was still new to all of this. She needed time. So I let her go.
I paced the halls, frustrated by our conversation. I didn’t understand why she was willing to let someone like Professor Fucking Creeper get away with that kind of behavior. He was a manipulative fucker using a position of power to get what he wanted from students. He wouldn’t be getting it from Luna. Not on my watch.
Skipping out on my next class, I hung around near his classroom. Waiting for him to leave for the day. I had told Luna I intended to protect her, and that’s exactly what I planned to do.
I fired off a text to the guys, letting them know that I wouldn’t be around for a while. I had something to take care of. Personal business. I hadn’t yet decided exactly what I was going to do with him. When the time came, I would let my shadow side choose.
Luna may never forgive me for what I was about to do. That didn’t stop me. This fucker was all mine. He would be sorry he ever said a wrong word to my girl.
It was well after four o’clock when the professor finally left for the day. The daylight had begun to fade as darkness crept in. This time of year the sun set much earlier. A helpful ally for my plan.
Keeping my distance, I tailed him to the parking lot, making sure nobody else was around. My gaze strayed over to the dorm on the other side of the lot. Luna was so close. I wanted so badly to go to her. That would have to wait until I’d finished.
I watched as the professor unlocked the door of a newer model Toyota. Before he was able to slip into the driver’s seat, I approached from behind. A solid punch in the back of his head stunned him. He fell against the side of the car, doing his best to grip the door as he went down on his knees.
Casting one more glance around at our surroundings, I wrapped an arm around his throat from behind, quickly choking him unconscious. He was soon splayed out on the ground at my feet. Too easy.
Since most modern day trunks have safety releases on the inside, I used his own belt to tightly bind his arms behind his back. Popping the trunk, I tossed him inside. For good measure, I used a sweater I found in the back seat and tied it around his face. Then I got into the driver seat myself and pulled out of the campus parking lot.
It was easy enough to rent a motel room at the shittiest location on the edge of town. One of those places that was all too happy to take cash and a fake name. The kind of place that enabled me to pull the car right up to the room and enter from the outside. Nobody saw me drag the professor into the room, and if they had, they probably wouldn’t care. Anybody frequenting this place was already up to no good.
I used the bedsheets to tie his arms and legs to the frame. Now conscious and terrified, he screamed for help until I stuffed his socks into his mouth. Unfortunately, I hadn’t come entirelyprepared. I fired off a text to Dom, asking him to bring me a few supplies.
The professor’s muffled cries got inside my head, pulling out my other side. Sick of listening to him attempt to scream and beg, I furiously typed a message on my phone before holding it over his face for him to read. It didn’t matter if he saw my face now. He wasn’t leaving this room alive.
Shut the fuck up or else you die. Got it?
He nodded vigorously, tears silently streaming down his face to soak the ratty pillow beneath him. Keeping an eye on the time, I kept checking out the window for Dominik’s arrival. I was eager to get started.
Needing the professor to know why he was here, I typed one more time.In case you haven’t figured it out, this is because you made the mistake of asking my girl to spread her legs for you. A mistake you’ll never make again.
His muffled response was nonsensical. I knew he was pleading his case. Begging for mercy. Nothing he had to say mattered to me.
Finally, Dominik arrived. I opened the door to let him in before closing and locking it again. He took one look at the man tied to the bed and chuckled.
“What do we have here? Is this a little side project of yours?” He handed me the bag he held. The two large coolers of ice he placed on the floor.
“Something like that,” I signed. “This fucker asked Luna to spread her legs for him so he could eat her sweet pussy.”
Dom nodded in understanding. “Ahh, I see. Obviously he has to die now.”
Even though there was amusement in his tone, he wasn’t entirely joking. He knew I was serious. I didn’t play around with shit like this.
I opened the bag he brought, finding everything I needed inside. First, I selected the blood type kit. If I was going to kill this bastard, I might as well make some money off of him as well.
It didn’t take long to draw some blood with the lancet and test for his type. O positive. Not quite as good as negative but pretty solid. I then sent a text to Rebel telling him to get a hold of buyers we had waiting for organs compatible with that blood type. I was taking everything this guy had. Liver, kidneys, heart. The works.
