“We must release,” Xavier warned. I knew he could have sex forever, as stamina was no issue for his kind, but the longer we teased each other, the more dangerous the need became. Xavier was meant to make me his. That had been his only thought for the past hundred years and to feel my touch now made him crazy. His fangs had gotten even longer, looking sharp and deadly from my exposed position. Sex, blood-sharing, and lust was the only way he could share with me all of his emotions, memories, and visions. The moment this ended, the moment that cord was cut, I’d lose access to everything that tied me to him.

I didn’t want it to end. Every second that passed by I learned something new. As his cock slid across my tongue, a memory unfurled from the sweet musk of his magic and lust. He’d once been cruel, a dark vampire that had disappointed his father who knew that there was more to the world than sex and power. That’s why he’d found a witch to curse Xavier with visions of a blood-mate he couldn’t have for a hundred years. That’s when he’d changed. It was all because of me, and the knowledge that he was going to have to wait for a hundred years had crushed him. Now, to realize that I was already bonded with three others, the threat to him relapsing into his dark ways was real. I couldn’t let him believe that there wasn’t a chance. I didn’t know if I wanted to become a vampire. But Xavier had become a good man. He’d learned how to live off of the tasteless, metallic blood from refrigerated donations and had abstained from pleasure all for the sake of hoping it would draw me to him. There was magic in need, and so he’d starved himself, all so that one day I might find him and release him from his suffering.

I reached out and grabbed the hard thighs that bulged against the pleasure of my mouth. Even though he wanted so much more, I could give him this.

Fuck me as hard as you can,I commanded Luke in a mental wave.

With my hold strong against Xavier’s thighs, I took Luke’s long, growing thrusts and let the pleasure unfurl in me. I rejected the power that wanted to settle in my succubus heart, and gave it to Xavier.

He gasped when the power hit him. Luke’s lust, as well as my own, fed a strong dose that stroked him until he exploded in my mouth. He moved, the length of him rolling and throbbing across my tongue, as he came hard.

Luke’s cry as he came to climax echoed my new lover’s and I lost myself in the bliss that threatened to take me under.

After a long, needed shower, I rubbed my hair with a towel and exited the bathroom to find Luke sound asleep in a bed that could have fit ten people. It seemed most vampire bedrooms accommodated the possibility of an orgy. I would have admired Luke’s ability to sleep so peacefully in a vampire’s den, had said vampire not been lingering at the door with a satisfied smirk on his face.

“Do you plan on sleeping here?” I asked, not sure if my question was hopeful or concerned. The threesome had been amazing, but the tugging need to cement our bond had been too close. I needed to bring the others here, but in the light of day, my proposal seemed preposterous.

“Hey, Nate, Luke, Jet, I know all of you are powerful, strong men. But how about binding yourself permanently to me? I’ll become a vampire and live forever, which God knows how that’ll impact you, but hey, what do you think? Want to bring Xavier into our team of freaks and find out what’ll happen?”

I bit my lip. There was no way they’d agree to that, right?

Xavier cleared his throat, dragging me from my thoughts. “No,” he said, pushing away from the door frame, “I don’t sleep.” His eyes glittered with danger. “And if I stayed the night in bed with you, you wouldn’t sleep, either.”

I wasn’t going to let him control this conversation. I let the towel fall and his gaze raked over my naked body. The lust and need was still there, but the power of his blood had burned out of my veins by the heat of the Blood Stone, or perhaps it had been Luke’s healing magic. Angel’s cum did strange things.

“Are you vexed with me?” he asked, his gaze not moving from my body. “You shouldn’t tease me with your skin. You know how much I desire you.” He stiffened as I stepped closer. “Perhaps I shouldn’t have pushed you,” he lamented. “My power has a will of its own. I only wanted to you to understand…”

I moved to him and pressed my hand against his chest as an unbidden smile stretched across my lips. “I’m not angry. I’m glad you showed me.” I leaned in, nipping his neck with my teeth. He allowed it, remaining completely motionless as I toyed with him. “I have a lot to think about.”

When he refused to move, probably restraining himself from taking me again even while Luke slept, I released a deflated sigh. My hand fell and I walked back to the towel that had piled onto the floor. My point had been made. I wasn’t afraid of him, and damn it, I could control myself.

A whisper of magic tickled across my ass as I bent over and picked up the towel, extracting a fucking whimper. I jerked up and glared at him, wrapping the thin protection around myself as he laughed.

“Don’t do that,” I snapped.

He grinned, his fangs flashing. He moved to leave, but then paused at the doorway again, looking pensive. “Can I ask you something, Sonya?”

I straightened. “I suppose.”

He frowned, his gaze unfocused as he stared into a distant memory. “Bringing you here, it wasn’t something that I did, was it?”

Silence stretched out between us. I averted my gaze, not wishing to see the open pain in his eyes. He’d shown me that he’d attempted to call to me by starving myself. I knew what that was like. Starvation was an empty exercise in self-harm and pain. I didn’t know if that’s what my Blood Stone had picked up on, but my runes seemed to have a mind of their own. I was drawn to my sins and to my four. Whatever ancient magic wove through my veins, it wanted to be complete. However, I didn’t believe that there was anything Xavier could have done to bring me to his side before it was time. I came to him when I was ready, when I needed him. It felt terribly selfish, because he’d needed me for a hundred years and I hadn’t been here.

“I don’t know why my Blood Stone brought me here,” I admitted, my fingers going to my collarbone. “Perhaps it’s my duty to protect Hades, and the only way to do that is to complete this bond that I don’t fully understand.”

Xavier watched me with those dangerous eyes that gleamed with familiar energy. “I’ve seen such marks, once before.” His gaze fell to my stomach hidden by the thin towel. My runes burned in recognition. He was permitted to touch me there. He was meant to seep ancient magic into me and wind it through my veins.

I shivered, the effect he had on me far too much like a drug. “Really?” I asked. No one had ever been able to tell me what the runes meant. When I’d tried to ask my mother about them, she would always change the subject. If she’d known anything, those secrets had died with her.

He flashed a grin, the seriousness evaporating into his arrogant charm. “Once you become my mate, I’ll share everything I know with you.”

I frowned. “You know what our bond means, but you won’t tell me until I’m so far into it that I can’t get out?”

He chuckled, the low rumble awakening heat low in my belly. “Talk to the others. They know more about our bond than they realize.”
