That’s when the door opened and Lucifer himself looked pissed as all fuck.
“Are you kidding me?” he growled.
Kaito shoved me to the floor, surprising me with the sudden absence of his body and leaving me used. “I’m done with this one, Lucifer. He’s all yours now.”
Kaito gave me a demon’s grin, one that said he won.
I genuinely thought that I had betrayed until his voice filtered into my mind.

And then the bastard sank into the floor, easily forming a portal to the heavens knew where with the shit-ton of power he’d just absorbed.
