He chuckles and pushes himself away, his dick slipping out of me. I want it back inside me immediately, but he falls to the spongy floor beside me and continues to laugh as he stares up at the white ceiling.

His expression slowly turns somber and he gives me a long look before he gets up and leads me out of the bunker. Something’s changed, but I don’t know what. I don’t have half my clothes on and there’s a tiny voice telling me to turn back at least to get my pants, but I have to follow Jayce.
I have to.
We walk to the river and find Axel waiting there.
None of us say a word as we wade into the water and turn against the current, making our way silently.
We shouldn’t be doing this. I know that. But I can’t stop walking. Axel stumbles and goes down, splashing in the shallows, but he picks himself back up again and continues. I can hear the roaring of the waterfall close by and we turn again, going to the shore.
There’s a tunnel here. It was Gargantua’s, but of course it’s empty now because Jayce skewered her. We walk inside and into a cavern much like Siggy’s with a large web and desiccated remains over the floor that we stumble through. There’s a tunnel on the other side and the pull I feel to go in it is strong, even stronger than it was before.
I already know where we’re going and I’m trying to fight it, but when you don’t know it’s coming and you can’t steel yourself against it, the compulsion worms it’s way in. I just can’t do anything about it.
When we emerge in the main passage in front of Maddox, Iron, and Daemon and the pressure of Iron’s magick finally lets up, I’m not surprised.
But I am quick.
I turn and dart into the tunnel, back the way we came.
Iron is faster.

I tackleher in the darkness, not sparing her body as I fall hard on top of her, knocking the wind out of her all the while congratulating myself on figuring out how to funnel the magick to make them all come to me at once, so the girl’s pet arania couldn’t kill either of my clan brothers. I wasn’t sure it would work. I tried with Jayce before but I couldn’t crack him.
But it’s clear that the power of my fae side is getting much stronger. Why? I have no clue.
She struggles under me, but it’s fruitless. I’m much bigger and heavier than she is.
‘Stop fighting me,’ I drawl, ‘or I’ll make you run straight down to Dante right now.’
She freezes and I let out a cruel laugh as I get off her and pull her to her feet. Then I notice her state of undress and I breathe in her scent.
‘You fucking honeypot,’ I snarl. ‘I can smell them both on you. After what you did … and now you trick them into dipping their dicks intothat?’ I give her the most disgusted look I can muster. ‘Have you no shame?’
For a second, just a second I think I’ve actually upset her, but the pain I think I see in her face is gone in a heartbeat and she grins, giving me a wink that makes me want to cut out her eyes.
‘I’m good at what I do, so sue me.’
‘Yeah,’ I grind out. ‘You are. But you try any of your tricks on me, human, and you won’t have to worry about Dante. I’ll stake you out in the fighting ring downstairs and let the inmates fuck you to pieces. They’ll have you torn apart in two minutes flat. I guarantee it.’
I lean in close. ‘Want to know a secret?’ I whisper. ‘I hope you do try something.’
She looks at me like she’d love to give me a stinging retort but doesn’t say anything. I drag her back out to the others, hauling her in front of Maddox who looks at her with disdain as he notices the lack of clothes on her bottom half.
‘Put your cock away, Jayce,’ he mutters without looking at him.
‘You can’t do this,’ Jayce snarls, but he puts his dick in his pants and zips up his fly.
