“I was wondering if you had time to meet for a cup of coffee? I’ve got a proposition for you, and I think it’s going to help us both in the long run.”
“That sounds intriguing. Do I get a hint?”
“Can we wait until we’re sitting down? I’ve got a feeling this might take a while. I have to go home and feed my cat, but then I’m free to meet you whenever.”
“Okay. I’ve got my lunch breakin about an hour. We could meet at the Starbucks down from Primal if you want.”
The Starbucks down from Primal. What a delicious irony that would be.
“Yeah, I think that’s the perfect spot. I’ll see you soon.”
God, if this worked out, it was going to go a long way to making things right.
